I know some of you have already been out of the hunt and I can’t wait to hear what you came up with! For everyone else, just a reminder that Target should have the annual toy clearance at 75% off at most stores.
They typically do this a few times a year and the stores get wiped out FAST so you really have to be on the ball. I like this time of year to get a head start on Christmas toys as well as any little birthday gifts and holiday donation items.
Remember this is clearance so it will be different for each and every store. I popped into my store this morning and they were at 50% off and even 30% off for some items but I have a feeling they might have been marking things down a little further.
If you head into your store and see 30% off signs or 50% off signs it doesn’t hurt to take an item to the price scanner and just check that the signage is correct. You might get a nice surprise!
Wednesday is mark down day for the toy department at most stores but it could be tomorrow too. You can always just call ahead and ask before you head out!
Reader Lawanda said her store hit 75% off today and one lady seemed to have emptied the shelves all by herself.
My store went 75% this morning and I was there at 10. I got all my sons birthday and Christmas gifts and now don’t have to worry about it the rest of the year. I got:
For My 1 year old:
-6 different Tonka chuck products
-2 different Handy Manny products
-5 different Special agent Oso products
and my favorite item for him was a Step 2 motorcycle that he can ride for 4.98
For my 7 year old:
– 6 different bakugon products
-Tron racing bike track
-Sorry spin game
-Lego City paasenger plane
-U builld battleship game
I went this morning and my store was still mostly at 50%, but I have a feeling it will go down tomorrow as it was the last Thursday of July last year… the anticipation is killing me!! 🙂
My store was only 50% off still, but I decided to get a few things b/c I figured I wouldn’t be back again before the shelves were cleared. (The nearest Target is 45 minutes+) I picked up two Lego sets for my 6 year old. One for Christmas and one for now for being such a trooper at his allergy tests today. I did find a Trio set (It was a boat that was was 75% off ($1.49 after discount). I then used my 25% off Trio Target coupon to save even more. I also got my 2 year old a Thomas Misty Island Mega Block sets for 50% off and a Thomas Take and Play set to put up for Christmas. They were only 50% off, but I’m happy. You can’t always find great deals on the high priced building sets.
My store is still at 30%!
my store is already VERY picked over and most stuff is 30% off and some is 50%!! I was looking forward to stocking up, but now that probably wont hapen!!!
My store in San Diego finally went to 50% for most things. Others are still at 30%. It was pretty picked over already, but I did find some cute My Generation dolls clothes as well as the My Gen. baking set. Picked it up for my daughter’s 11th bday coming up!

Our stores were at 30 and 50% off today. Is it guaranteed to go lower? Trio was 75% off, but that was all I saw for that discount.

The store in Lodi really did not have an isle, just clearance tags here and there. They had a few Trio makred down to $2.25 and there is a 25% off coupon from target. So it make it a great deal. So print a few of the toy coupons you never know what is going to be on clearance. Just wish I had a few more so I could stock up for toys for tots
IM IN NORTHERN CALI AND ALL IS STILL 30% AND 50% OFF. I CALLED 2 STORES AND THEY DONT KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO 75% OFF. THEY SAID THE 50% OFF WAS THRU SUNDAY. SO MAYBE THATS WHEN THE 75% STARTS?? ANY IDEAS?

Alicia, I went to the Fairway one and I called the Douglas one. I am going to check tomorrow too and just see. Fairway they were in the middle of some sort of reset of the department so maybe more stuff will be on clearance.
I went to two different targets in KY and they are already picked over at 30 and 50% and theres not a wide selection. BOO!
I was at two different Targets in MN today. Both had reduced to 75% off. The employee indicated they were early and that they usually don’t reduce until Thursday. Worked out really well for me…I was the first and only person really looking. I got some great deals that I plan to save for birthdays and Christmas! Hopefully, other Targets will follow soon.

There’s a Trio coupon on the Target website to also use with the Trio things on clearance.
the clothes are worth mentioning too they have a lot of summer stuff marked down to 75% off for kids clothes. i bought clothes for next year and most of the outfits were between 1.24 and $2. Good for family kids birthdays you know will roll around again next summer you can buy gifts now.
My store in Upstate NY only has toys marked at 30% off. Employees were organizing shelves and moving things around, so I anticipate the big markdown to happen tonight after hours, then bigger discounts tomorrow. I’ll be back then to grab what I can then. I asked one employee about the sale and she looked at me cross-eyed and didn’t seem to know what I was talking about.
