If you are headed to Target, you might want to make a detour to the summer seasonal items. In my store, these are in the back near the school supplies and the outdoor BBQs and such.
My store was just at 50% a few days ago and as of today they were finally at 75% off! This is a great way to stock up on outdoor toys, coolers, serving pieces, tablecloths and lots more.
I bought a cooler for $4.49 (regularly $17.99) which is perfect for toting around groceries in the summer. I got a set of 3 plastic balls for the kids for $1.99, sippy cups for $.49 and there was tons more stuff to pick from.
I saw picnic blankets, slip n slides, plates and cups, Sunbeam ice cream machines for $7.79 and Sunbeam blenders for about $6.00.
You can see more Target deals for the week here.

Just saw this at the El Dorado Hills store….a very small selection of the toys were left but I picked up a slide n’ slide for $1.24! Awesome!
woohoo!! I better get over to my Target. I was waiting for these items to go to 75% 🙂
Today, I got BIG beach towels for $3 each; sidewalk chalk, squirt guns and beach balls for 50 cents each; Plastic dinner plates for picnics or for my kids to eat on (they can’t break these!) for 44 cents; and a big kite to mark our spot on our next beach trip for $1. My store had several different coolers 75% off, too – but I already have enough.
I was just at Target last night and stocked up on toy clearance items, but some were still at 50%. Do you know if Target will give a price adjustment if the price is reduced further this week?
I found some great deals in this section as well this morning. Would have had even better stuff if the employees didn’t get there before me and stuff three carts full of all the best stuff… Oh well got a few cool summer things
ahhh I bought those same plastic balls for $3.99 =P Lol.. Dangit
Lisa, the policy is not to adjust clearance items. I won’t say no but I would be surprised 🙂
I am canceling your letter. I refuse to do any business with anyone who discriminates against me because I do not belong to the pea brained Facebook. Please only losers and desperate jerks go on Facebook to tell everyone that they have gas today or look at me mowing the lawn. Total losers. Then if they knew what is being done with the info they put on that loser site they would be shocked. Okay boys and girls can you spell data mining? I take that back these fools are so stupid they wouldn’t understand even if they were told. Now I will go and cancel you. I am sure others will also. Facebook sucks and making belonging to that trash to enter a contest pisses me off. So see ya.
I just ran over to Target to check out the clearance and the St. Peters, MO location doesn’t even have their summer items on clearance at all yet. All the pools and summer toys are still full price. Waiting….
David, a lot of people don’t agree with you and it is my job to try and post things that will appeal to a variety of people. I am on Facebook personally and I am not desperate, a jerk, pea brained, a loser.. or any other ugly name that you mentioned. I enjoy hearing that my Uncle with Parkinson’s disease is having a great summer in Alaska and I enjoy keeping up with how the children of friend’s I don’t get to see very often are doing. If that is not something you care to do than I would recommend you not join Facebook.
As I said in the post, there are plenty of other opportunities to win for people that are not on Facebook. I suppose you may have overlooked that point. Please let me know if you require any assistance in unsubscribing.
Best response EVERRRRRRR!
well said Charlene!!!
Dear Charlene,
Can I just say how graciously you handled the comment left by David? I have to also say that I so enjoy you, I follow you via email, facebook and checking in on your website (TMI I know). You clearly stated that you were checking out a new format and all your other giveaways have always been a variety of entries (which there have been a lot of giveaways lately…how do you do it?). Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening and I hope you are able to enjoy a dove bar which was made less expensive by a coupon that was available on Facebook, yes, Facebook.
Sincerely…a grateful fan…
alice 🙂
Ditto to Alice’s comment–You did handle David’s comment well, and I hope you don’t waste another moment worrying over that childish rant! You do a fabulous job with this site, and I am grateful for all you do to help us save money and live well! Thank you, thank you!!
I was sort of disappointed because I was hoping to find a toddler play pool discounted. On the flip side though I did find a fun sprinkler toy and some cool pool toys for under a dollar..
Wow, my store had employees with carts full of clearance items.
So I ran over to my Target to check out the deals….my Target is only doing 70% off(which is still better than 50:)). Alot of the things were still showing the 50% off, but when they were scanned they were actually 70%. I had been eyeing those cute coolers:)
No luck here in Redding California… but thanks for sharing!
I’m very excited to go to target tonight to see if there is anything left.
A side note you are AMAZING and I follow you in every way possible. Thanks 🙂
Jen you have to move like there is a fire under your butt for these clearance sales when they hit 75% off. I bet it was all snatched up yesterday 🙁
I hit 3 stores today after reading here that the clearance was hitting 75% off. My local store in West Seattle was still at 30% off with little available. I then went to Southcenter where they were marked down to 75% off but also very little left. I purchased 4 slip and slides, 8 packs of plastic cups, 2 metal beverage containers, an ice cream maker, a carafe all for only $27.51 (including tax). My savings was $75.80. I plan to use the slip and slides for upcoming birthday parties or for a holiday donation. (thanks for getting me going on donations so early!) I have to say that I am not happy to read about employees stashing away clearance items. When I worked at the Gap that was not allowed. I bet if you spoke with Target management they would say the same goes for their store. It isn’t fair. So I must mention that my 2 super cute metal beverage containers were in a cart by the back door (where some employees were working). The cart contained some of their paperwork or something. It was clearly an employees cart. I swiped the containers. They’re super cute. I can’t wait to use them!
