Petsmart $2.61

1 bag Nutro Max Dog Food $8.99- Used $7/1 Nutro Dog Food coupon= $1.99 +tax

CVS $3.38 (which includes $1.01 tax)

2L Coke .69 each
2 Hershey’s Bars- free with CVS coupon and used the CVS coupon from awhile back
Skittles $2.50- used $2 CVS coupon= .50
Neutrogena Sunscreen $7.99- used $2 coupon
2 Oral B toothbrush $3.00- used $2/1 coupons= $1

The whole point of my trip was to get a great deal on sunscreen. The other stuff I just got in order to use a $4/20 CVS coupon from email. I was not able to combine the $2 Oral B with the BOGO coupons so I originally had 4 toothbrushes and took 2 off. ย I also used 3.50 in ECBs and got back $2 in ECB.

Target $39

2 bags Iams Dog food $16.00- used (2) $3/1 coupons and used $5 gift card Target coupon= $26 and got $5 back
Crystal Light $2.04- Used $1 Target store coupon and $1 coupon= .04
Organic Salad Mix $3.50 (not pictured)
2 Market Pantry Seasoning $.47 ea (the name brand with coupons is cheaper but I already used all my coupons)
Market pantry wheat bread $1.34
2 Suave Shampoo $.84- used (2) $.75 Target coupons= $.09 each (for donation)
2 Hot Wheels $1.07- used (2) $1 Hot Wheels coupons= .07 each
2 Schick Hydro razors $6.49- used (2) $4 coupons and got $5 gift card back= Free!
10 Vitaminwater at $1- used (3) Buy 2 Get 1 Free Target coupons= $7.00
Smartwater- free with purchase of Vitaminwater

I don’t include dog food in my weekly grocery budget so the total was $18.12 and I used a $5 gift card from a prior trip= $13.12 AND I have a $5 gift card for next time from the razors.

And my Walmart trip which was a serious pain but I got lots of good deals:

Walmart $47.26

Tostitos $1.99- price match
2 Hormel lunchmeat $1.99 price match & .50/1 coupons= $1.49
2 Simply Lemonade $1.99- price match
2 Fig Newtons $1.99 price match- used $1/2 coupon= $1.49
5 Lindsay Olives $.79- price match
Challenge Butter $1.98- used $1 coupon= .98
Huggies Wipes $1.64- used $2 coupon
2 Milky Way $.50- used $.50/2 coupon= .25 each
Kraft Mayo $2.50- used $.75 coupon= $1.75
Yotoddler Organic Yogurt $2.28- used $.50 coupon= $1.78
2 Johnsonville Sausage $3.53- used $1 coupons= $2.53
2 Organic Milk $4.77-
King Hawaiian Bread $3.48- used $2 coupon= $1.48
2 Kraft Cheese $2.48- used $1 coupons= $1.48
Hot Dog Buns $1.25
La Victoria Salsa $2.12- used $2 coupon= .12
Bananas $1.42
4 Dannon Light and Fit- used (4) $1 coupons= .78

This week I spent $63.76 (not including the dog food) but I have $5 leftover in a gift card and $2 in ECBs to use. ย We have 2 BBQs this week so I was really just buying random stuff for those and then a few good deals.

I had planned to get some produce at Walmart but the store I went to had literally nothing by way of organic produce. ย We have quite a bit of fresh stuff on hand and I will just have to make a Sprouts run next week.

The oral B toothbrushes were $1 ECB so it would be a $2 ECB when you bought 2. So it was correct

How do you do the price match when you go to wal mart? When I use the self check out line the machine sometimes freezes and then the register person has to manuall enter it in. including my coupons. i don’t know why this is. Also I’ve noticed the produce is NOT the best @ the store so I normally pass. It just drives me up the wall they don’t have better software.. When I was in IL the Jewel self checkout NEVER broke or froze.

Karen, I swear to you I was working on a vlog just today about price matching at Walmart ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully I’ll have it up tomorrow.

Annie, it was a small store called Nugget in Northern CA. The drugstores usually have them for .99 every few weeks. I think Walgreens might even have them this week for that price?

Wish you would post more of your shopping trips, it’s really neat to see the photos with the breakdown

For Nutro Max Dog Food $8.99 I used PetSmart.com and they had the 5lb bag for $8.29 so I printed it out and took it to the store… so final price was $1.29 for one bag.

Maria someone mentioned that on Facebook as well. I wasn’t in a situation to want to go to the extra trouble for .70 so I think either way it is a fantastic deal!

I am pretty beat this week Annie so I don’t have anything good planned really. We are going to grill a lot (read: my husband cooks).

I have chicken and steaks to grill. We will do fish tacos one night. I have a Hormel Tenderloin and we have 2 BBQs this week.

I am also making a big batch of broccoli cheese soup and a big batch of breakfast muffins for the freezer.

Kristen, I found a less junky version of a muffin in a cookbook I was going to make. I don’t like to say the cookbook because it might offend some people but if I get a chance I’ll type the recipe out here. This is the book:

Hi, why you couldn’t use your $2 coupon and the bogo coupon for the oral B? Sorry I’m curious. Thanks

  18. Charlene says

    07/04/2011 at 9:55 AM

Erika, Sometimes you can’t use a BOGO coupon with a cents off coupon because the BOGO attaches to both products. I think that is what happened. So the computer thinks you are using 2 coupons on the same item. Wasn’t a big deal to me so I just told her not to fight with the computer and I’d just get 2.
