Tomorrow is 7/11 which means it is the official free Slurpee Day at 7-11 stores nationwide.
You don’t need a coupon and you are supposed to be able to just stop on in and get your free Slurpee. I remember last year getting a few complaints from people that their 7-11 refused to honor the promotion. Just keep in mind these are franchise owners and they can choose not to participate so you might call ahead and ask.
Also, Free Slurpee day is supposed to last until midnight tomorrow but I would try and get there as early as you can.
Hmm… a Slurpee sounds really good right now.

I remember doing this. They didn’t give you a very large size(maybe 8 oz.) so I was a little disappointed….

I went to 7-11 asked for free slurpee I was told by counter person that you need a coupon that was given out 2 weeks ago.

Al, personally I think they make up reasons not to participate. There was no coupon at any time that was offered. I imagine the franchisees hate 7/11. Last year people told me some stores had signs on the machines saying they were broken to avoid giving out the Slurpees.

Just got back from 7-11, and my kids and I are enjoying our free slurpees. Sure it was a whopping 7.oz cup, but who cares, it was free. It’s a great promotion from an iconic company. I don’t get slurpees very often any more, since even a small is running $1.29, which is ridiculous. I see a lot of people claiming that franchisees must hate this promo. I can’t imagine why. While some people were walking in for the free slurpee only, I saw tons of people standing in line with an overpriced snack to go with that free slurpee. You gotta figure that a slurpee only cost a few cents a cup, and the rest is pure profit. They aren’t loosing on this deal.

I would think so too Jeremy. I don’t know that they look at it like that and who knows. Maybe some places get a bunch of turkeys that stand outside and try to get 100 refills today ๐ I think any business owner has a hard time grasping you need to spend a little to earn more. I would think the freebie would drive business but who knows. Glad you got one! Target has these for $1 and there are usually $.50 Target Cafe coupons from time to time.

We have a 7-11 near our house and it’s a treat to let my kids walk there on hot days and get a slurpee. The kids reuse their older plastic slurpee cups (bought awhile ago) and refill it. Cost around $1. They were pretty excited for free ones today that are 7.11 oz…

Worked for us! Heads up: red slurpee + eager kid = Tide Stain Release (lucky I have that freebie, too!). Thx Charlene

My girlfriend and I went today and our local 7-11 owner was clueless as to what we were talking about when we asked if he was participating in free Slurpee day. Life sucks.
Al says
Charlene, I agree with you some just don’t want to participate. I made a call to another 7-11 and he was very happy to give out slurpees with out a coupon, he did not know any thing about the “coupons”.
