There is a new promotion from Ebates starting today. New accounts can choose to get a $5 cash bonus or you can get a $10 gift card instead to Target, Barnes and Noble, Home Depot or Magazines.com!
I have my eye on that Target one because $10 could go pretty far at Target. To get the gift card you will need to make a $25 purchase through Ebates to any online merchant.
This could work out to be a fantastic deal if you are already planning to do any online shopping. You just need to register for an Ebates account, then type in whatever merchant you want to shop through (like Walmart.com, LandsEnd.com, Groupon.com- there are 1200 merchants total.)
If your purchase is $25 or more you will get the $10 gift card mailed to you directly from Ebates. As an added bonus you also get cash back on your purchase which comes in the form of a rebate quarterly.
So Ebates is not going to pay off your mortgage this week with the cash back amounts but hey- if you spend $50 at Lands End today you get 6% cash back. So $10 for the gift card you choose and then another $3 which would be your 6% cash back amount. So for a few extra seconds of time you get a whopping $13.00 back on a $50 purchase. I’d say that is pretty darn good.
The cash back amount varies from store to store- it can be as high as 30% or as low as 1% and they tend to change daily.
So head over to Ebates and get yourself registered and select the gift card of your choice- or the $5 cash payment. Then the next time you want to shop online just start at Ebates.com, type in the name of the store and click through to shop as usual!
