Reader Liz found a fantastic deal at CVS this week.  The bad news is that the sale ends today (7/30) but I wanted to check this out myself before I posted.  This was not advertised in the weekly ad so there is a chance that not everyone will find this.

I did find the exact deal that Liz mentioned so hopefully you get lucky too!

Spend $20 in Banana Boat sunscreen and get a $10 ECB back
Banana Boat is priced at $6.99 each

{Deal Idea}
Buy 3 at $6.99
Use (3) $1/1 Banana Boat Product, exp. 8/7/11 (SS 06/26/11)
or Use $1/1 Banana Boat Sun Care Product , exp. 9-30-11 (ALL YOU June ’11)
Pay $17.97 for 3 and get a $10 ECB back
Net price is $2.66 each

Liz found $2 coupons on the bottles of sunscreen in her store- I didn’t find any at mine but if you get lucky the price is $1.66 each!!

I got a $5 CVS coupon in email so I am doing this deal for sure!  Also, I noticed Honest Tea is priced at $1.00 through 7/30 at my store.  If you have the $1 Recyclebank coupon those are free!

See the CVS Deals for 7/24-7/30 here.

My CVS kiosk has been printing $5 wyb $15 coupons like crazy, so if you do this in a separate transaction and use that coupon (with the $2 peelie coupons), this becomes free!

I tried this deal this morning. It DID NOT print the ECB automatically. I pointed out what it said on the shelf tag and they force printed me a $10ECB. Just be prepared if it doesn’t print for you.

Thank you to Liz and you for posting this !! We use a lot of sunscreen. I saw this and RAN to CVS. Was lucky to find the last 3 – $2.00 off coupons stuck to the bottles !! Great deal and thank you both !!

Paula – same thing happened to me. I had to ask for the $10ECB. My bottles only had $1 coupons stuck to the bottles, but I was happy with the purchase!

Are those coupons on front or back of the bottles? I got to my CVS and they don’t have those prices. Everything regular price and no coupons on the bottles 🙁

Tatyanna, like I said in the post:

” This was not advertised in the weekly ad so there is a chance that not everyone will find this.”

“Liz found $2 coupons on the bottles of sunscreen in her store- I didn’t find any at mine.”

So the $6.99 price was advertised and everyone should find that. The $10 ECB was not advertised so maybe your store didn’t put the signs up or something. I tried to make that clear in the post that you may or may not find the deal. Also like I said, she found coupons on the bottles but I did not find any myself. So the deal was not guaranteed to work for everyone and I am sorry if that wasn’t clear to you.

I also went out and did get the last 3 bottles (of spray kind), did not see any coupons attatched but I had 3 of the $1/1 coupon, and the special was advertised on the shelf, however my ECB did not automatically print either, so I showed the cashier and he put it in manually for me! Thanks for sharing!

Charlene, I don’t have problem with your post. I just was surprised to find price to be different than in other stores in CA.
    I love reading your blog.

Yeah that is odd 🙁 I thought maybe you skimmed the post and missed the unadvertised part. I went to a different store tonight and the tags were not on the items but I went for it anyway and they scanned at $6.99 and the ECB printed. So I don’t know what is up with this deal. They were marked at $11 or so at the store I went to tonight but I was thinking maybe they pulled the tags early.

I did this deal today too, the items were tagged with the ECB, but they had to force print it. I hate it when they look at you like you’re trying to pull a fast one while they’re printing it!

My CVS had them all marked at regular price (10.99). I gave it a shot, as I need sunscreen, and they all range up at 6.99. However, I did not receive the ECB. As my store didn’t even had no sale tag on the shelf, I couldn’t make them print the ECB. 🙁

Also, I bought the Ben Gay, which didn’t have a ECB tag on the shelf either. I DID get that one though. Weird!
