Safeway Coupon Deals 6/8-6/14

06/07/2011 By Charlene 37 Comments

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!  If you live in Northern CA, Chicago or Hawaii be sure to read about the new Just for U program rolling out at Safeway!

…Click Below to see the complete list of Safeway Coupon Deals….

The gift card promotion is back. Spend $50 on select gift cards and get a $10 catalina back. These cards tend to vary slightly by region, but in my ad it shows Lowes, JC Penney, iTunes, Kohl’s or Nike. The catalina is one per transaction and expires 7 days after purchase.

I want to note the Kraft Mac n Cheese is for the individual cup servings. Also when I went yesterday, they had the Ronzoni Garden Delight Pasta for $1.50, I can’t remember if that was part of the 8 or more sale. But there was a $1.00/1 coupon a couple weeks ago. .50 a box is a great price!

    06/07/2011 at 8:53 PM

Nicole, the Kraft that I posted shows a photo of a full size box and the size is 7.25oz. That is a full size box not single serving.

  3. Nicole says

    06/07/2011 at 8:59 PM

Hmmm maybe I’ll bring my ad with me next time to bring it to their attention. Because .89 is a great price especially with my kids being home right now on summer break.

  4. Nicole says

    06/07/2011 at 9:00 PM

If I recall the regular boxes were $1.39 maybe and I remember thinking I’d rather get the organic mac n cheese from Trader Joes for that price.

  5. Charlene says

    06/07/2011 at 10:11 PM

Nicole are you talking about Macaroni and Cheese? It is .59 for a normal blue box in my ad. If you like organic, Annie’s is usually .99 every few weeks at Target.

  6. Katie says

    06/07/2011 at 10:35 PM

I have been buying Kraft Macaroni and Cheese every day for the last week. On my Just 4 U, I have a personalized deal for $0.73/box and with the $0.50 off, I’m getting them for only $0.23/box. So far I have a stockpile of 48 boxes. I just got the ad in the mail today and they are doing it again for another week, how great is that! Check your Just 4 U and see if it’s one of your deals.

  7. Aimee says

    06/07/2011 at 10:52 PM

I bought 8 boxes yesterday and they were definitely .59 each.

  8. Emily says

    06/07/2011 at 10:55 PM

The Colby Cheez-Its are not part of the deal, only the regular and maybe one of the other special flavors…bummer not to get to use the coupon on those!

  9. KELLY says

    06/08/2011 at 3:44 AM

The Colby Cheez-Its were a part of the promotion at my store (in MD), so be sure to check each individual store!

  10. Nicole says

    06/08/2011 at 8:57 AM

Ohhh, thanks Katie for the heads up! I will check my account right now.

  11. Stephanie says

    06/08/2011 at 9:33 AM

Katie – is it ringing up like that? Because I once tried to combine my Just For You price on ground beef with a B1G1 sale and they told me you just get one or the other… Even when I went to customer service. So I’m just wondering if your store is over riding or it just rings up correctly combining the two discounts??? I am not a big fan of my Safeway…

  12. Stephanie says

    06/08/2011 at 10:11 AM

I found a coupon book for June Dairy month at my Safeway next to the butter. It has $13 in savings inside. Some are $1 off 8th Continent Soymilk, $1 off 2 Challenge butters, $1 off 3 Fage Split Cup containers…

I can email you a picture if you’d like. Just email me.

  13. Charlene says

    06/08/2011 at 10:20 AM

Stephanie, I have the book. I just haven’t had a chance to post it yet 🙂

  14. Heather says

    06/08/2011 at 11:40 AM

I’m not all that familiar with Safeway, but will be shopping at a Von’s in central CA this coming week for a trip. Can someone tell me if items from last week’s ad that were part of the Mix & Match deal are still part of the deal this week? Or do they change week to week? Does anyone know of a master list somewhere that would tell us which products are included?

    Thanks!

  15. Charlene says

    06/08/2011 at 11:43 AM

Heather, they should be included. For Safeway to change 3000 items from week to week would be nuts. I think most if not all should be the same.

  16. Charlene says

    06/08/2011 at 12:27 PM

Did anyone else with Just for U get a free box of Total Raisin Bran in their personal deals?

  17. Wendy says

    06/08/2011 at 12:44 PM

Charlene, I got the Raisin Bran Q too.

  18. Endcapps says

    06/08/2011 at 1:30 PM

Wish i got the Total Raisin Bran. I got “Hallmark Expressions…$3 off your trip wyb a card $2.99 +” — is that just a long way of saying “Free greeting card”?

  19. jennifer says

    06/08/2011 at 2:45 PM

I got a free cookie dough coupon from the just for u!

  20. Stephanie says

    06/08/2011 at 3:55 PM

I got free cookie dough and the raisin bran! Lucky me!!

  21. Randi says

    06/08/2011 at 4:16 PM

I didn’t get the Raisin Bran, but last week I got a free box of Lucky Charms and this week I have a free 2 ltr of Safeway soda. Maybe they’re handing out the freebies because of all the J4U problems, lol. 🙂

  22. amanda says

    06/08/2011 at 6:20 PM

I got a free bottle of Safeway soda.

  23. Susan says

    06/08/2011 at 10:36 PM

My Frebreze Air Effects coupon from 5/1 P&G was for 50 cents, not $1. I thought P&G was the one insert that was not regional, but apparently it is?

  24. Jasmine says

    06/09/2011 at 8:23 PM

    I got a free Kellogg’s frosted flakes from Just for u 🙂

  25. Delia says

    06/09/2011 at 9:19 PM

Quick Question from a newbie….. Would there be a reason we could not use the $1 off 2 manufacture cereal coupon that u can print from Target.com on the lucky charms?

  26. Charlene says

    06/09/2011 at 9:38 PM

    No go for it Delia.

  27. Delia says

    06/09/2011 at 10:22 PM

Great!! That makes the ceral $1.38 which I am assuming is a good deal??

  28. Della says

    06/10/2011 at 9:55 AM

My P&G insert stunk this time. All the deals were off because of it! I didn’t even try the Wags Gillette deal because my Qs were so low!

  29. Lisa C. says

    06/10/2011 at 2:05 PM

I went to my Safeway today (Sunset in Rocklin) and found the $5 Tide is marked as one of their Buy 8 deals for $4.50. I had $0.75/1 Tide coupon loaded on my Safeway card and got the detergent for $3.75.

  30. Lisa C. says

    06/10/2011 at 2:07 PM

I mean, it was 3.75 after coupon and after I bought 7 more qualifying items.

  31. Endcapps says

    06/11/2011 at 6:23 AM

    For shoppers with Just4U Freebies, here’s something to keep in mind. If my Freebie is out-of-stock, my store substitutes a similar product. I just bring 2 similar products up to my cashier as “suggestions”, the cashier decides on one, scans, and manually deducts the $ amount. {For example, I had a Freebie for 40oz ketchup which was out of stock, so I brought up a 32oz ketchup & a 64oz ketchup…cashier allowed the 64oz as the substiute}

Lisa C., good catch on the Tide!

  32. Janey says

    06/11/2011 at 9:01 AM

I’m kicking myself for forgetting to go yesterday and stock up on Tide. I have $3/1 coupons for the Free & Clear (or whatever their dye/perfume free is called now) so that would’ve made them $2 each and one of them $1.65 from the P&G e-coupon!

I’m wracking my brain trying to come up with 5 other things from the promo to possibly buy the Tide at $5.49 because I don’t want 8 bottles of Tide (no space for it until I get busy reorganizing cabinets/closets/garage).

  33. Nicole says

    06/12/2011 at 2:45 PM

Janey, there are a lot of really cheap items at Safeway under a $1 that you could buy if you don’t want 8 bottles of Tide. Macaroni and Cheese is only .59 a box. You can mix and match 8 items. They do not have to be the same item. 🙂

  34. Endcapps says

    06/13/2011 at 7:05 PM

Got a cheap filler item for Mix ‘n Match 8 Sale. Had a J4U special offer for Febreze Noticeables $0.99 – $1 MQ from Organize in Style, and it counted as one of my 8. Also got Golden Grain pasta $0.89 – a printable $0.55 MQ from their website = $.34.

  35. Janey says

    06/14/2011 at 10:08 AM

I’m often jealous of your Just4U stuff. They haven’t rolled it out here.

  36. Charlene says

    06/14/2011 at 10:51 AM

Oh Janey it is so few deals to be jealous of really and a lot more effort 🙁 It is nice to get the occasional better price and the very, very occasional free item but overall I don’t see it as a huge benefit. I would trade for double coupons!

  37. Endcapps says

    06/14/2011 at 4:46 PM

Since J4U rolled out, I generally have to visit Customer Service each and every shopping trip to iron-out a problem after each transaction. So, J4U is a pain!
