Family Fun Magazine $5/year (+ Free $5 Credit)

Well I have been playing with this deal for far too long and so far this is how it seems to work. You might check the comments though because I am sure some clever reader might see something I missed.

Living Social is offering Family Fun Magazine for $5 right now (check the bottom of the page to see it). That is a one year subscription with 10 issues. If you decide to purchase the deal, you will be directed to watch a very short commerical on Windows 7. Once that happens you can complete the order and then you can choose to send this deal to friends or look for the very tiny “no thanks” at the very bottom right corner and click on that.

You should have $5 in credit applied to your account for watching that commercial. Now I can’t figure out a way to use the $5 credit on the magazine purchase. I believe you need to buy something and then the credit will be available for your next deal.

I did go through this entire process with my account and with a new account that I created and the deal bucks were applied but I was charged both times for the magazine.  So this does work out to be a nice perk if you are interested in this subscription.  I was able to cancel both of my orders after I placed them by clicking on my account.  It looks like they take away the $5 credit if you cancel the order though.

If you are NOT interested in this magazine, you might go over here to Living Social and register for a new account.  Once you register in your city, check and see if they have something else you might like.  I checked under Sacramento and found a $30 voucher to good restaurant for $15 today-so maybe you will stumble upon something you like.

This credit will only apply to family deals or the deals that have that orange banner pictured above at the top.  (So my pizza place didn’t qualify for this but was still a good deal!)

(Thanks Eastern Shore Mom)

It’s not letting me watch the video. I see the orange ad, but it’s not a link to anything, it’s just a picture. Did you have to click on it or did it let you watch it after you entered your card info?

Britney, I had to enter card info and then that did not finalize my payment. I watched the video and that was when it said complete your payment.
