Hey Heather, I was also looking at this deal for baby formula, and in my CVS ad it says it excludes Alimentum and Nutramigen. Hope this helps.

WooHoo!!! Went tonight to used my $5 of $20 coupon and got a coupon for a free vitamin up to $9.99 which was valid for three days. Most are BOGO tonight. Both of mine had $1 off peelies coupons also. I go two vitamins and loaf of bread to cover my overage and paid $.67 with tax. (The vitamins was my second transaction).

Does the limit 1 mean that I only get 1 ECB? So for the Toms of Maine, if I wanted 2 mouthwashes, the first would be -$1ECB and $1coupon and the second would still be the sale price but only taking off the $1coupon?

  6. Lauren says

    06/18/2011 at 10:08 PM

Hi! I was wondering if it was possible to use 5 of the $1/1 coupons for the honest tea to get all of them free? Would they accept that?

  7. Charlene says

    06/18/2011 at 10:11 PM

Yeah Lauren they will if you have that many. I have done that transaction myself no problem.

Yes Melanie. You can get more info about how it all works by clicking on Drugstore 101 at the top of the blog.

Today I was doing my weekly CVS shopping and I witnessed an unethical couponer! As I was loading my car, a lady pulled up and paid for one paper but took a stack of about 5 or 6. I yelled out, did you pay for those and she sped off. I wrote down her tag and told the store manager. I’m also going to call the paper – I have a great relationship with my CVS and don’t want anybody ruining couponing for them!

I wanted to test my local CVS last night @ 9:30 pm (sat) to see if next week’s sale activated and IT DID!! The current ad and the following week’s ECB printed for my transaction. As you can expect, the bad is that they were pretty much out of a lot of things for the current week’s sale but the good is that they had plenty of stock for the upcoming week’s sale. I’ve never shopped that late but it actually is a good time because my daughter is sound asleep at home and the store was very quiet. It was a fun test, even though I had to modify it a few times to suit inventory. Thanks Charlene!

More coupon match ups to add~

Colgate Total Gum Defense toothpaste, 4oz…$2.79 – $1 any Colgate Total Gum Defense Toothpaste ETS, x6/30 from Reinventing Beauty* – $1MQ = $.79 & get back $2 ECB for $1.21 moneymaker.

Powerbar Energy or Protein Bites…$2.49 – Free MQ on any bar or bites up to $2.50, x8/31 from (I believe) my Women’s Health mag recent issue = $0 & get back $2.49 ECB for a $2.49 moneymaker.

*Reinventing Beauty store coupons are Limit 1 per transaction. The Colgate Total Q is right next to the Irish Spring Q (see Charlene’s post), so obtaining this publication might be worth it for 2 SQs. At my CVS, you have a choice of buying thewhole magazine for .99 (picture of the Black Swan actress on cover), OR they offer just the coupon pages for free and these are laid out in the cosmetics counter.

Red Coupon Kiosk gave $5/$10 any Men’s or Women’s Fragrance x6/19, a ” Buy a Ritz Crackerful & get free Big Chill 20oz Wate x6/25″, and the pesky Dove bar Q again. Crackerfuls were priced $2.50 so I’m looking for MQs for this. Got a message that our Quarterly ExtraBucks start printing on July 1.

Thanks for telling me about Saturday night shopping for next ad deals. I tried for the first time last night at 9pm & I loved it. I got the Hersheys Bliss, Powerbar bites, Irish Spring, 2 Colgates, and a milk. Scanned to be sure the prices were for the new ad. Used my $5/$20 newspaper Q. My cashier told me that the new ad was active & I rec’d all my ECBs.(For the “old” ad items, she would manually give sale price + manually print ECBs.) So, at my store, you can actually get an overlap on both week’s deals.

thx for the info! Each week I learn something new here on MFA.

Bandi, it is actually a big problem… People stealing the inserts out and then the paper can’t be sold or like you saw just taking a stack of them. I have been reading articles in papers all over the place about it. And even people having papers stolen right off their porch.

  13. Ruth says

    06/19/2011 at 11:23 AM

The only way to stop the unethical people is to start prosecuting these people who are taking extra papers and inserts for theft. Hopefully that would scare some of the dishonest people who were crooks in the first place.
I did observe one young guy going through the papers at a local Giant and removing all the inserts. I alerted the manager because I’m a regular customers at that Giant. The guy had left but he told me it has become a chronic problem but there isn’t much they can do about it.
I have actually become self employed from couponing for years. I have a small office space where I offer shopping services. I buy lots of papers every week and I do check every single paper before I pay for it. There is a local paper that puts two inserts in their papers on Friday and it is only .75 cents.

Melanie…the limit on the Tom’s at CVS is 2 this week. I bought 2 toothpastes today and got $2 ECB without a problem. If you have a Rite Aid, the limit there is 3 and it’s the same deal this week ($3.49 with a $1 UP back). So, I was able to get 4 Tom’s toothpastes and 1 Tom’s mouthwash for practically nothing.

I have subscriptions to several magazines and lots of the March issues had coupons for the Glade spray. (I found out which issues on the coupon database – thanks!) With a few coupons from my mom, I was able to get 7 Glade sprays for $4 after coupons and ECB. That’s 57 cents each! I wanted to point out that the coupon says “premium” and shows pictures of the $6 spray, but the coupons work just fine on the sprays that are on sale for $3. No beeps.

I really like Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Disks, so I did this moneymaker:
    5–Scrubbing Bubbles Disks @ $4 each = $20.00
    used coupons:
    $5/$20 Q from newspaper & 5 ($.75) MQ {would’ve been better w/Charlene’s $1 printable}
    got back:
$10 ECB and will submit for $3 mail-in rebate (I have a paper form for this, but if you’re interested try looking at RightatHome.com/join)
    MM $1.75
and when I opened all my packages there are 3 coupons inside the box — .75 Scrubbing bubbles toilet gelx6/30/12, .75 any Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush x6/30/12, and .55 any SB Fantastic all purpose clnr,x6/30/12
