Teacher Appreciation Card Ideas

I just wanted to pass along an idea for a teacher card that I got from my friend Ashley.  I made these cards from Tiny Prints for Teacher Appreciation week and just ordered them.  Typically Tiny Prints is very quick to ship cards so if you hurry you might be able to get them before Friday.  I ordered mine and they are hopefully going to arrive Thursday.

I made one card for Addy’s teacher and used a Tiny Prints design for the front.  Inside the card shows Addy holding a sign that says “Thank You” and the other side has a photo with a sign that says “Love, Adriana.”  We included a little note to her teacher telling her how much she is appreciated.

I made one for Maya’s teacher and Maya has a similar sign that says “Thank You, Love Maya.”

If you have younger children, I think this is a really cute idea and it looks like a lot of care went into the card.

Tiny Prints charges $3.99 per card and your shipping is free.  I happen to adore Tiny Prints so I am a member of the greeting card club. It is $1.42/month and any cards that you create are priced at $1.99.  You also get 3 free cards when you join the club.  If you send a greeting card to yourself it is shipped free- send it to someone else and you pay $.44.  I figure $1.99 is significantly less than I would spend at the store and these are much nicer cards.

So that is just one idea for Teacher Appreciation Week.  I am racking my brain to come up with other ideas- if anyone else has suggestions please let us know!

Good idea … much more personal than store-bought cards.

I was a third-grade teacher in my life-before-kids. I loved personal cards/notes which expressed appreciation for specific ways that I helped. Remember that teachers haven’t chosen their occupation to get rich; teachers desire to make a difference.

Also appreciated by elementary schoolteachers, for classroom use:
    Kleenex tissues
    Lysol wipes
    Hand sanitizer
Reams of copy paper, white or colored
#2 pencils, chunky erasers (the bigger the better), markers, crayons
Small toys & things to be used as prizes & incentives
