I grabbed a few things at Target tonight- mostly I just wanted to test the Aveeno gift card deal.
My store did have signs that said $10 gift card with purchase and the $10 gift card triggered just fine.
So here is what I did:
2 kids toothbrushes- free with coupons
2 Lysol wipes- .39 each (I still had those $1.50 coupons from a few weeks ago)- these are to send to the South in a care package
2 Colgate Wisp $1.14
1 Aveeno at $9.94- Used $2/1 coupon
1 Aveeno at $8.99- used $1/1 coupon
and I used (2) $1/1 Target coupons for Aveeno
The sunscreen worked out to $3.93 for 2 items after coupons and gift card!
So it went perfectly for me and I hope some of you have the same great luck! You can use that Target gift card to pay for another purchase if you want to get more sunscreen.
I did the Aveeno deal as well. The gift card didn’t trigger but I was able to get a manager over who then gave me a gift card. I also did the aquafresh toothbrush deal. Also Free!
My store had the $5 gift card sign on top of the $10 Gift card. I did not want to hassle if it did not give the $10 gift card, so did not try.I did find a bunch of other clearance. Burts Bee lotion w/toothpaste for $4.88, Dove lotion for $1.99…Good deal with coupons.
Just did the deal. Store had the $5 gift card sign but when the gift card scan, it was for $10! Great deal! 2x$8.99=$17.98-$1TQ-$1TQ-$2MQ-$1MQ=$12.98-$10GC=$2.98 for two bottles! Yippee!
I’m glad your Aveeno deal went so well! Mine was a hassle! The sign was posted for a $10 gc, I even took a picture to show the cashier. The register didn’t prompt ANY gift card, so she had to call a manager, the manager went and checked the sign (apparently she didn’t believe my picture) and then she finally came back and just took $10 off my total. So at least it worked out in the end!
Jenna- can you tell me if you bought a regular sunscreen or a bonus pack? I wonder if the bonus pack is the issue.
Worked great for me last night! I bought the Aveeno Hydrosport.
No signs at the Target I went to today 🙁 I went ahead and tried them anyway and when the gift card didn’t trigger I told her I changed my mind. It was the bonus ones that I picked up that had the extra sample on them.
I just did the Aveeno deal at Target today, they still had the signs up for a $10 giftcard, but when I went through the line it only triggered a $5 one. I was able to push it through because it was signed as a $10. So I think they are in the process of fixing the glitch
It was a sunscreen wrapped with a sample… Is that what you mean by bonus pack? Maybe that was why it didn’t work! Glad the manager pushed it through 🙂
Yes that is what I mean. I think that might be the problem. Those will have different UPCs and maybe they didn’t program them in.
