Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Rachel R. says 05/25/2011 at 7:28 AM Finally some decent deals at Safeway. Lorena says 05/25/2011 at 7:32 AM I agree, nice deal on the fried chicken, might have to pick that up and plan a picnic. Barbara N says 05/25/2011 at 7:55 AM When they set a limit like the bogo rolls and brats can you buy two of each or two of either? Thanks Charlene says 05/25/2011 at 8:06 AM The limit is on the Brats only if I remember correctly Barbara. Lisa G. says 05/25/2011 at 9:05 AM These daily deals drive me crazy, I don’t want to go to Safeway every day lol! Lori says 05/25/2011 at 9:17 AM Heinz ketchup is $1.69 with an in-ad coupon. There is a $0.50/1 coupon, which doubles in my area. $0.69 for a 32 oz ketchup. (I think this is a good price?) Julie says 05/25/2011 at 9:27 AM There is also a Thursday Daily Deal for 93% lean ground beef for $2.99/lb. Not the best price, but it’s decent, no? Charlene says 05/25/2011 at 9:46 AM Lori- I have it listed at $1.99 in my ad. If you have doubles that is a great price. Gina says 05/25/2011 at 11:24 AM The wishbone salad dressing in this past week’s paper was $50/1, with doubles makes the dressing $0.19. (In ad $1.19 – $0.50/1(double) = $0.19 ). shelly says 05/25/2011 at 3:39 PM Do you think the Kraft Big Slices will be $1.50 too? That would be a good deal to use the blinkie coupon on 🙂 Charlene says 05/25/2011 at 3:55 PM No Shelly I don’t think so. It says slices and those are a totally different product. I hope they are but I don’t think so 🙁 Ashley says 05/25/2011 at 4:43 PM The 93% ground beef is on sale in my area for $1.99/lb 🙂 Also, there is a coupon for $.50/1 lawry’s marinade in last weeks paper which would make it free with doubles since it’s on sale for $.99 Michele says 05/25/2011 at 6:32 PM I am unable to find the Oscar Mayer hot dog coupon on the coupons.com site. Is there a specific zip I should put in? Martha says 05/26/2011 at 3:36 AM Ragu jar pasta sauce is 2/$3 and there was a coupon in last weeks paper for $1/2 making them $1 per jar. I think this is a great deal but if your store will double you will make out even better. Sherry says 05/26/2011 at 12:17 PM The Jack Daniels BBQ sauces are 99 cents and there is a 55 cents off manufaturer coupon. If you store doubles it is free. Also I had the 55 cent printables for Sunny D that I had printed off earlier in the month so if you still have those it will be free also. Sherry says 05/26/2011 at 12:18 PM Also on the Glad deal that is listed my Smart Source had a $1.00 off 2 Glad Containers, Storage Bags or Cling Wrap. April says 05/26/2011 at 4:03 PM I’m still learning my way around my Safeway… if I load coupons onto my shopper’s card will they double at the register? Thanks! April says 05/26/2011 at 4:04 PM Oh, I should add… my store doubles up to $1 so it will double paper coupons, just wondering if there is a difference when I load them onto my card Charlene says 05/26/2011 at 4:05 PM No April they won’t double. Face value only on ecoupons. April says 05/26/2011 at 4:12 PM Sorry, just read the 101 for Just for U… not a fan of this program! Bhobbs says 05/26/2011 at 4:18 PM I found a printable Kraft singles coupon (suggesteded by another blog but i don’t remember which one) for $1 off any 1 Kraft 2% Singles, making today’s deal $.50/package. Just FYI! Charlene says 05/26/2011 at 4:31 PM Bhobbs- I didn’t include that coupon because the sizes don’t match 🙂 Lisa G. says 05/26/2011 at 5:45 PM Went to my Safeway (NorCal) today, and saw a xerox notice about the Kraft Cheese. I skimmed it quickly, it mentioned something about dairy prices blah, blah. Basically the Kraft is 2/$4 at my store now. Did anyone else notice this? Endcapps says 05/27/2011 at 8:11 AM Lisa G., Yes, I also read NorCal Sfwy’s retraction on their Kraft cheese price $1.50. State of CA felt that price was too low due to “escalating costs”? Also, Sfwy-related, this just in my e-mail that Shortcuts e-Coupons will no longer be partnering with Safeway. It said that Sfwy does not want to allow outside eQ programs on their shopper cards. Charlene says 05/27/2011 at 8:20 AM Is that just something or what? The state decided a store could not sell something at a certain price. That just kills me. Lisa G. says 05/27/2011 at 8:26 AM Yeah, define “escalting costs.” The price of gas is going down a bit lol. On a happier note, I found a $2 off any Popsicle item when I scrolled through my Just For U coupons today. It was on like page 5 or 6. Must have missed it before! And yesterday I did get the Mission Tortilla chips, and ended up paying $2.48 for 2 thanks to an e-coupon. So that makes up for the cheese price hike I guess 😉 Lori says 05/27/2011 at 8:34 AM Shortcuts has not been allowed in my area for months. On a related note – just found out that ever since revamping their computer system a few weeks ago, we can no longer get overage on double coupons. The computer will now double up to the price of an item. Which means we still get it for free, we just don’t get overage. I guess the good old days were bound to end sometime. I won’t complain about free, but it will mean reworking some of my trips. Charlene says 05/27/2011 at 8:39 AM Oh Lisa I was telling someone about those coupons the other day. I never did a chance to post them. I better do that. Popsicles were $1.99 in my ad for the 4 day sale. Sara R says 05/27/2011 at 3:00 PM Just wanted to say thanks again for your website. I went to Vons today in So Cal and saved 78% on produce! Bought the daily deal for Strawberries and the weekend deal for blueberries and corn. You have me hooked on using the $1 off $5 produce coupon and the coupon for a free Squiggle everytime I shop! Thank you!! carla hatch says 05/29/2011 at 8:21 AM When it says limit 4 can I go back another day and use my card to get more items? Anna says 05/29/2011 at 11:29 PM Saw the Wheat thins stix for 1.99 used dollar coupon got it for 99cenrts! And johnsonville hot links and brats bogo at 4.99 Colombo hot dog (French) buns 1.99.
