I stopped off at Safeway this morning to check on the cereal promotion this week. It looks like the prices I posted last night are all accurate and I wanted to add one more variety you can choose from:
Kellogg’s Fiber Plus Cereal $1.99 when you buy 4, mix and match
Use $1/2 printable coupon
Final Price: $1.49 each
Also, two other notes on this promotion. If you have Just 4 U, be sure to check for any special prices. I don’t have any in my account but if you do that should be the price before coupons and before the $4 in instant savings. It could be a fantastic deal on cereal or Pop tarts.
If you happened to request the Frosted Mini Wheats Touch of Fruit sample awhile back, I got mine in the mail yesterday. Inside are several coupons for $1/1 and a BOGO coupon. I decided to see what would happen this morning and here is what my transaction looked like:
Bought 4 boxes of Touch of Fruit cereal at $2.19 (after $4 savings)
Used BOGO coupon (took off $4.69!)
and Used (2) $1/1 coupons
Final Price: $2.07
I have no idea why that much came off for the BOGO but the transaction should look like this:
Buy 4 at $2.19
Use BOGO coupon (takes off $2.19)
Use (2) $1/1 coupons
Final Price: $4.57 for 4 boxes or $1.14 each
For those that do take advantage of the cereal deal this week keep an eye on that catalina machine and let us know if you score a coupon for a free milk. I haven’t heard about a catalina running right now but I am just curious if there might be one we don’t know about.

I was just at Safeway in NE and got the milk catalina — yeah —
There is one for General Mills Cereal. It says Free Gallon of milk up to $3.75 when you purchase any 3 General Mills cereals. I was suprised when I got them. I had done 2 transactions and so I received 2. So excited for free milk. 🙂
Melissa- would you mind telling what state you are in? Last time this was regional and catalina does not have it listed.
For your Kellogg’s Mini Wheats A Touch of Fruit scenario, couldn’t you have used one BOGO, and 3 $1 off, instead of 2 $1 off?
Amanda- in theory yes but according to the coupon policy you can’t use a coupon on a free item. Stupid but I try my best to follow the policies each store has 🙁 Even if I am sulky about it 😉
Charlene, I’m in Elk Grove, CA. 🙂
I too got the General Mills free milk catalina for buying 3 cereals; I’m in central CA.
Mini wheats placed in a ziploc bag is a perfect on-the-go snack for kids & moms
I got the milk Catalina, too! I’m in Sugar Land, TX.
No milk catalina for me in Citrus Heights, CA. 🙁
Also, Charlene, did your BOGO coupon beep? I just went to Safeway and there was only one lane open so they started pulling people from the line to ring up at Self Checkout (they’re still kind enough to ring you up though). Anyway, when they scanned all my coupons (BOGO and two $1/1) they had to override them. So, of course they only put in $2.19 for my BOGO coupon as it should be. Just wondering if yours happened to just go through and the Self Checkout computers are a little more ‘strict’ when it comes to coupons?
I got the milk and I am in Sacramento CA
Tiffany did you buy GM cereal? I think it is not the Kelloggs just General Mills.
Silly me, Charlene. I bought the Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheat Touch of Fruit cereal.
I have noticed that when I use a free manufacturer’s coupon at Safeway, if the coupon doesn’t prompt the cashier for price, the register will deduct the shelf price, not the club card or JFU price. Maybe that is what happened for you, Charlene. That’s why I always save my free coupons to use at Safeway, even though the cashiers hassle me about them.
I got 4 boxes of the Touch of Fruit Mini Wheats today at Safeway. I used the Vocalpoint BOGO free coupon, plus 2 $1 off coupons. My receipt shows I paid $2.07 for all 4 boxes. It took the shelf price of $4.59 off on the free one.
Inside one of my Touch of Fruit Mini Wheats is a rebate form.
Charlene, It did not print the milk Cat for me (or for a friend either) I contacted Catalina, they said that it was not included in the offer. Can’t complain too much at .50/box though.
