Well ya’ll!  I am super excited because Sprouts has finally opened in Roseville and I finally made it over to check it out.  I am on the fence about Sprouts because from what I see in the ad, they have fantastic produce sales.  After taking a quick look in the store I can tell you I am going to want to spend a lot of money!  Everything looked so good and they had all sorts of interesting frozen items.  Those of you that like Trader Joes will probably love Sprouts.

Here are some highlights from the ad this week.  One nice thing is that the ad runs one extra day- so every Wednesday at Sprouts there is an overlapping ad!  You can shop for 2 weeks of deals in one day.  What a great idea!  There is also a monthly ad for Sprouts that has separate deals.

Here is the weekly coupon matchups for April 6-13.

So this ad says these prices are only valid at the Roseville, CA store. If you live in another city it looks to me like the ads are pretty different from region to region.

Oh my, the produce prices are crazy. Are you serious about 5 avacados for $1? I will definately make a trip (sans kids for sure) to check it out. Thanks for posting the deals!

Wow, those are cheap prices. I wonder if Sprouts has any plans of opening a store closer to Sac.

Nicole the ad is online but I think I read that correctly. It is a really nice store too. I am super excited! The eggs are such a deal- cage free eggs!

Sylvia- I heard something about Citrus Heights not sure about Sac. I am going to try and post the deals weekly to encourage people to shop there. I really hope these stores succeed and give stinking Safeway a run for their money. The only way we will ever have double coupons is if these stores start needing to compete.

Yes, there is one opening in Citrus Heights. It’s where Old Navy was on the corner of Sunrise & Greenback. Those are some great prices on the produce, can’t wait for the Citrus Heights store to open!

Is it a regular grocery store? Do you think things (at those prices!) will sell out quickly? Happy to see it’s up and running!

We are getting a new Sprouts here in Dublin, CA too. It is expected to open next month. I am very excited! Look forward to all your match ups on Sprouts!

love love LOVE this store!!! I was in there the first day (late in the day after most of the crowds were gone lol)
The store is super nice…. the MOM cereal is a great deal…. and the boxes are really big too!
thanks for the match-ups. I love being able to go into “premium” stores and know that I am going to find a deal or two (or ten!) 🙂

I am so excited to go check it out! Thanks for posting the deals. I am going to have to figure out a new routine that sends me to Sprouts for the produce and Winco for everything else….

I went to the new store yesterday and was dancing all the way out!! I can’t believe the great deals I got and the produce is amazing!!! I am going back on Sunday to get more. They are opening one in Citrus Heights too and I got emails saying they are merging with the Henry’s Farmer’s markets (there is one in Elk Grove for those more in the South Area of Sacramento) So, yes it is so nice to have more options than Safeway!!!! Produce is what I always have a harder time getting deals on and my kids are major fruit bugs 🙂
As a side note- through Sunday the Roseville store also had a pretty good size container of “Greek Gods” Yogurts that are on special 2 for $3, I had never tried it before but bought some to try it out (I got the honey flavor)and I thought it was really good! They had the a vanilla-Almond Granola for $1 a lb in the bulk section (also really good) and then block cheese for $2 lb too. Anyway I am hoping they continue with deals like this, I am so excited. Thank you Charlene for the match-ups!!

I always shop at Sprouts (in So Cal) and the prices listed here seems to be less. Might be, it is an introductory price.

Thabal- I am thinking the first few weeks will be specials to get people in and then I am hoping the prices are closer to what you guys get.

Sprouts is in Sunnyvale (Bay Area). It opened 6 months ago. The grand opening sale prices were good, but after that, I just saw good prices on some produce. They have nice products but I would not exclusively shop there.

Yes, but you will love the store. They have lots of varieties. Have fun!

I was there early Wednesday morning. Those free sandwiches went quick because they were gone when I got there. I managed to spend $37 and got 3 big bags of groceries. The avocados are 5/$1, but they are small. It’s good for me cause they appear to be one-serving size so I won’t be wasting any. I signed up for the on-line ad and so far they’ve sent coupons for a free bottle of Honest Tea and BOGO on 1 pound chocolate covered almonds (says save $5.99).

I thought the prices on wild-caught salmon ($5.99 lb versus $9.99 lb at Safeway) and red snapper for $4.00 lb were good. Since these are the only 2 fish I eat, I’m trying both!

Next month we get Sunflower Farmers Market opening too, so I’m wondering how the competition will go on the two stores only a few miles apart! I hope it works in OUR favor! ha

Diane I went on Wed morning and didn’t see sandwiches? I didn’t know I was looking for them though 🙂 I registered last night and wanted to wait and see what I got before posting. How soon did you get coupons? Also, do you mean the Sunflower Market up where the old RA is in Roseville? I was looking at that today thinking I should look into it 🙂

i signed up for the weekly ads Tuesday night and right away they sent me a welcome email with the free tea. Yesterday, I got the almond coupon. If I remember, if was with an email talking about the merger with Henry’s.

The first 500 paying customers Wednesday got a coupon book for 10 free sandwiches and the free grocery bag for everyone as long as they last. I got there about 7:45. Then there is a drawing to give you back how much you spent. I think 50 folks per week for the first month? You filled out a form and stapled it to a receipt copy and put it in the box at the checkout.

The Sunflower Market will be in the old Ross store in Roseville Square. Their grand opening is May 11. They are giving free groceries, I don’t remember whether it is a bag of their choice to the first so many buying customers — seems it was first 200. They will open at 7:00 a.m. that day. I googled it and found out this info. You can sign up for their on-line ad too. I think they have the 2-ad policy on Wednesday’s too.

YAY! You have a Sprouts! They opened one close to our old house a little over a year ago and while there isn’t one too close to our new house, I still try to make it there every other week to do the double ad Wednesday deals. Their produce prices are almost always cheaper than anywhere else here (HEB, Super Target, Randall’s or WalMart) AND it’s great produce. I too am trying to buy more organic so Sprouts helps keep that affordable.

Sunflower is a new one I discovered about a month ago and they’re almost the same store in terms of what they offer/how they feel inside.
