Welcome to My Frugal Adventures! I am Charlene, a busy mom of two girls and one handsome pound puppy. I am on a constant quest to save as much as I can in some areas so I can splurge a little in others.
This blog is written for the moms (and non-moms) out there that want to learn how to seriously stretch a dollar. By sticking to a budget and making every penny count we are able to enjoy life and spend money on the things that are really important to us.
I get just as excited about your great deals as I do my own, so come and join me on my frugal adventures!

Thank you. There are some really good ones!
Just went to target tonight. the scotch magic tape that had been $1.29 has been jacked up to $1.79. Too many people found a good deal and target wanted their cut.
I couldn’t find the non-target wrigley 5 coupon
I love your website, as I recently came across it and must live nearby! I am loving the new sprouts!!
The zyrtec and allegra (5 counts) are still free or close to it at Target. I paid .14 for the allegra today. Can you tell I have really bad allergies?
Oh thanks Nicole. I forgot to check so I just took those off.
Tammy I think it is gone now. I can’t find it either.
Better Oats were prices at $1.25 but when scanned came up for $1.34, they ended up giving them to me for $1.25. Just make sure to double check the prices for those
Tried to do the similac hoping the overage would cover the cost of items I needed for a party that didn’t have coupons. Anyway, even after presenting the new coupon policy to customer service regarding overage, they declined my coupons.
Ruth- maybe you can contact corporate? Isn’t that incredibly frustrating not to mention waste of time.
Target Zyrtec 5-count~
I’m sad that the coupon stack plus overage is coming to an end tomorrow. I went to Pleasant Hill, CA Target today one last time. I got:
1-Zyrtec, 5-count… $5.29
1-Betty Crocker Cookie Mix…$0.48 (hidden deal?)
1-Archer Farms Organic Strawberry Fruit Leather, single … $0.33 clrnce
Used Target Printable (no longer avail) $4 on any Zyrtec, and manufacter’s coupon (found in allergy pamphlet in CVS) $2 on any Zyrtec
Paid $ 0.10, plus tax
Easter clearance was at 50% off.
Ruth, the same thing happened to me at Wal-mart. That is why I hardly every go. I always leave frustrated!
If anyone has any similac coupons (she uses similac liquid) they won’t be using I have a 10mon old. I have hundreds of coupons to trade. Email me at shelly.nabb@gmail.com. Thank you.
Anyone that’s having problems with using any coupons at Wal-Mart please read all of this. I have to do this almost everytime but it’s worth it. If anyone is having problems with using coupons at Wal-Mart try these steps then if they don’t work contact Ceo of Wal-Mart Michael Duke @ 479-273-4229 or e-mail him it’s michael.duke@wal-mart.com but first try this. First ask for the store manager, then pull out their coupon policy and read it to them and tell them it’s fraud if they don’t give you the value of the coupon cause the company the coupon comes from gives them the amount of the coupon plus 8 cents per coupon. Then if the manager doesn’t want to do it ask them to call corporate and if not you will call WalMmart’s CEO Michael Duke. I’ve never had to go as far as calling the CEO but they have called corporate and we’re told they have to do it so it does work. Don’t be afraid to do all of this cause none of us are doing anything wrong.
@ Jamie I have done this at my wal-mart once and ever since then have not had a problem. As a matter of fact when the managers see me comming they say theres the coupon lady and immediately open a new register for me being that my coupons usually take a while. They are really friendly and often ask me for coupon tips. Target on the other hand I think the manager is a little PO’d at me because when he refused my coupons because the coupon was valued at more then the item I was purchasing (he stated that he couldn’t adjust the coupon down) I stood there in front of him and called the Target Corporate office. He refused to speak to corporate and bitterly accepted my coupons. Now when he sees me come into the store he seems to avoid me like the plague.
