My frozen chicken 4 lb bag deal was better than expected. Paid only $7.99 for two bags (8 lbs!)…a good J4U surprise, for a change! My personalized price rang up as expected @ $4.99, then more discounts subtracted unexpectedly…maybe my extra 20% off meat purchase eQ got activated. I don’t know, but I’m happy…you win some and you lose some at Sfwy.
I would encourage you to keep buying your favorite items at Sfwy and scan your club card so they get tracked. I think that is how personalized deals are determined and awarded…works for me.

Sfwy Haribo gummy bears and coke bottle flavors are on sale $1. I used the $0.30 printable coupon that Charlene posted last week. Then when I got home there was a J4U coupon offered to me as well For $0.30 so I can go back to buy more Haribo for $0.70. The shelftag said sale price goes til June or July sometime
Alternatively, my CVS is clearancing Haribo gummy brix (Lego looking) for $1.11 and I think Rite Aid has Haribo for $1 this week.

@ Melissa — I am not sure where you are but I just bought half a steer and it literally takes up half my big freezer – All kinds of cuts plus lots of lean hamburger.
If you are not in a rural location contact your local FFA or 4-H groups.

I bought the salsa and handed over the in ad coupon and it did not knock the price down to $1.79, paid $2.50 each for 4 bottles. I bought the right size. To get a refund for the difference can I go next week, or do I have to go this week? Should I print off another coupon while it is still available to show them? Do I have to bring the salsa back in? It is too far of a drive to be work the $2 to go back this week.
I thought this week was a great ad! I don’t go to Vons often, but took advantage of the store this week.

The Buddig 2oz lunchmeat is on sale for $0.50 each until sometime in May. There is $0.75/4 coupons for them (bought more off eBay, don’t remember which circular they were in). They double for me, which equals $0.125/2oz pack, or $1/pound lunchmeat. Also, strawberries were on sale in Maryland for $1/pound! Yeah!
On a side note – for some reason, the $0.75 coupons did not double properly for me. They doubled as $0.25, not $0.75. The manager overrode it for me so I received the proper discount. Still, I’m wondering if that is indicating a change in coupon policy at my store in the near future. 🙁

Bought 3 Hallmark cards ($1.99 ea.) and got back a $5 catalina today. There was also a special that if you bought 3 cards you got a free purse caddy. (A thing you hang on a table to hang your purse on). There were signs all around the cards about this freebie. Along with my catalina I also got a notice that if you buy 6 cards you get $4 back (through 5/1) and it tracks the cards you buy, it showed my balance at 3 after I made my purchase. Curious to see when I buy 3 more cards if I’ll get the $5 catalina plus an extra $4 one. That would be great!

Mary- for some reason Safeway.com is down right now so I can’t check the ad. I am certain it said spend $15 or more on Lean Cuisine or Skinny Cow and get $5 back. Maybe I missed something so you might check. You can call catalina or you can also go to customer service the next time you shop.
