Well people are usually pretty excited about any TP deals because they can be hard to find. I wanted to mention this one that is starting next week at Walgreens:
Cottonelle 12pk TP is priced at $5.00 starting next week.
There is also an unadvertised Register Reward:
Buy 2 packs of Cottonelle 12pks and get a $3 RR back
or Buy 3 and get $4 Register Reward
So you can try this:
Buy 2 Cottonelle 12pks at $5.00 each
Use $1/1 Walgreens coupon book coupon (will take off $1 for each pack)
and Use (2) $.50 printable coupons or coupons
Pay $3.50 each and get a $3.00 Register Reward back
So that makes each pack $2.00!
If you need this right away, you can do the same transaction this week except the new Walgreens coupon books are probably not in most stores yet. So you will pay $3.00 per 12pk after coupon and RR.
(Thanks Wild for Wags)
*Note: I think this is just an OK deal myself. These are regular rolls of TP not the big ones or double rolls/mega rolls whatever. I happen to be a plush TP kind of gal.
Also one quick note on how you can decide if a TP deal is good or not- lots of people use “per roll” cost as a unit of measurement. Since not all rolls are created equally (single ply, double ply, mega etc..) that isn’t really an accurate way to look at it.
If you take the square feet off the package and move the decimal point you can get a good idea of what the price should be.
In the example above, the Cottonelle 12pk is 232.8 square feet* of TP. So move that decimal point up two spaces and that is a good price to pay- $2.32 per pack.
That means that you should expect to pay $2.32 for this 12pk with a sale and coupon and next week it will be priced at $2.00 which is a good deal.
If the package was 350 square feet, you would expect to pay $3.50 and so on…
Hopefully that makes sense and I find this to be a super easy way to tell if a TP deal is really a good one.
*Note: I looked at images online to determine the square feet. The print is pretty hard to read so double check the package in store- it might be a better deal than I indicated.
