Just wanted to mention that I found Tom’s Kids toothpaste marked down to $1.19 for 4 oz… I paid like $4 for it at Walmart the other day. They also had adult Tom’s marked down. Dove bodywash for $2.49 (I had a $2 coupon). And Adult Liquid Tylenol $3.49.

I was curious how the walgreens diaper coupon works, So if you buy 2 packs of diapers for the b1g1 it works on both of them? So if you decided to stock up and buy 4 of them would the one coupon still work on all four packs?
Charlenesays
Should deduct $2 for each and every pack you buy automatically.
Did anyone else have any new issues with Walgreens this week? I went to buy the Purex Crystals there for all but one of my coupons since they were sold out at Rite Aid this morning, and the manager at my Walgreens was EXTREMELY rude to me. She kept insisting that it’s the managers discretion to limit ANYTHING in the ad. She put a limit 1 on the Purex Crystals (I was only trying to buy 3 of them and she got all rude with me on it) per customer PER WEEK! Then she started looking through my cart ready to limit me on the Right Guard and the Walgreens diapers!! I got pretty mouthy with her at that point telling her I’d simply go to another Walgreens that isn’t this way because NONE of the Walgreens have ever limited me on anything. She said it had always been this way at ALL of the Walgreens. I said to her obviously not since I wasn’t limited at their store last week on my purchases at this store nor at the other Walgreens that I shopped at. She insisted knowing what registers I’d shopped at in her store and said she would be reminding all of her staff again that it’s limit one on whatever items she felt like limiting. I said that I would just shop at the other Walgreens then and not at this Walgreens since there are about 6 in my area. Why are some of these managers so rude?!?!? I plan on writing a letter to the corporate office with this store number and her name to tell them how rude she was.

Just came back from wags. Diaper deal worked great. Bot 4 paid $10.95. The Q does not work for training pants. I asked the cashier to try it. LOOK for the HUGGIES $1.50 coupon machine by the diapers. Wags diapers are pretty good too.

Charlene,
A deal I was hoping to get at Walgreens didn’t work out today & I was wondering if I am misunderstanding or if my Walgreens was being stingy about it…it was for the advertised sale of Get $3 in REGISTER REWARDS at checkout when you buy $10 or more of participating Neosporin, Band-Aid or Red Cross Products. I purchased 4 Red Cross products (10 count guaze pads for 2.89 each) and used 2 coupons: $1/2 and $1.50/2. The total before coupons was 11.56, but the coupons took it down to $9.06. My RR didn’t print out…the manager explained to me that I didn’t qualify for the RR because of my MF coupons. Just wondering because your deal idea for the Excedrin was similar & I also wanted to get in on that, but after today, I’m thinking this won’t work?!?
paulinasays
How does the RR work if you buy more than 1 of the item in the same transaction? For example, if I buy 2 Clearisil Face Wash, will 2 – $2 RR’s print off? Or must I split it up into two transaction?

Paulina, If you click on Drugstore 101 at the top of the blog you can read about how Register Rewards work. There are a few quirks and it is important you understand them so you don’t lose your money.

I went to get some deals today and left feeling like I was commiting something … They only had 1 Purex softneer, no Right Guard in stock.
Casheer was so irretated with me.. I bought 2 Clerasil Face Washes only 1 $ 2 RR printed. She said that I should had purchased them separetly. So now I have to buy each and every item that have RR by itself? I asked about Right Guard B1G1, she said they dont honor coupon B1G1, becouse then I would get if for free.. is’t this the point ?
Did everybody got SS insert with Sunday paper? We did not get one and I dont see those coupons online…
Charlenesays
Anna I would suggest reading about Register Rewards before you shop again because she is right. You have to buy like items separately:
*”When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.”
So you can find a different store, a different cashier, skip shopping at Walgreens or print the coupon policy and try to duke it out with them.
Charlenesays
Kelli that is annoying. You should have received the RR. Did you look at the catalina machine to make sure the green light was on? It could have been as simple as being out of paper. Otherwise, I think some stores rig those machines to not print somehow. What the person told you is incorrect. Your precoupon total is the bottom line, coupons are a form of payment so it makes no difference at all. It would be like telling you that you can’t have a RR if you pay with cash versus writing a check or something. Did you use a RR to pay for your items? That could also be the problem.
You were cheated out of your $3 for sure- so I would start by contacting catalina marketing and see if they can mail it to you:
They should be able to explain why if for some reason you didn’t qualify for the promotion.

The Right Guard BOGO worked for my husband yesterday, he took two of the coupons and got 4 for free. It was funny too because he went to the kid I said never to go to because he wouldn’t let me use 2 coupons on the BOGO Purex deal a week ago. I totally forgot about the Walgreen’s policy that you can use coupons on the BOGO. Guess I was slacking. It’s all in the cashiers and/or the particular manager that is there at that time. Most of the cashiers I go to are blown away at my savings but you do get some that act like you’re stealing money out of their back pocket! I’m with Anna, the deals are too good, I’ll just pick and choose my cashiers!
Charlenesays
Well that is another theory that I have actually. I think men couponers are treated differently than women. You can tell your husband he has to do all the shopping now in the name of science.

Kelly/Charlene – Lol.. well my Walgreens will prove your science experiment wrong then. =P My store gave my DH problems when he went to get 1 Dayquil and 1 Puff’s tissue for me because I was really sick. First time at the register he had grabbed the wrong size Dayquil and wrong size Puff’s, his mistake obviously and he felt bad about it. A staff member helped him out afterwards and that staff member gave him the wrong size Dayquil. 3rd time at the register the cashier wouldn’t take the Vick’s coupon because she said that the product was Dayquil and not Vick’s (uh.. it’s Vick’s Dayquil??). Then she made him grab another Puffs tissue because she said the B1 Vicks G1 Puffs free coupon, was actually BOGO Puffs. So the cashier couldn’t read on a really simple transaction, my poor DH was just trying to follow my instructions, and it cost us maybe $2.50-$3 more for the transaction. By the time my DH got carded for the Dayquil by that same cashier he was already extremely PO’d and when he got home I had to explain to him that the ID’ing is actually normal.

No your cashier was a dummy. The coupon policy is here:
http://myfrugaladventures.com/2010/08/new-walgreens-coupon-policy/
and this is the specific clause:

So you can find a different store, a different cashier, skip shopping at Walgreens or print the coupon policy and try to duke it out with them.
