I had a bunch of errands today so I made two quick stops for a few groceries.

WHOLE FOODS: $3.97

2 Muir Glen Tomatoes $1.99- used $.75/1 coupon and $1/1 Whole Foods coupon= .24 each
2 Newman’s Own Lemonade $2- used (2) $1 coupons= $1 each
2 Voskos Yogurt $.75- used (2) $1 coupons= Free
Smart Dogs $2.99- used $1 Whole Foods coupon= $1.99

SAFEWAY: $11.76

2 Simply Potatoes $1.29 each
2 Morningstar Veggie products $3.99- Used $1/2 coupon
3 California Pizza Kitchen pizzas $2.50- used (2) $1.25 coupons and (1) $1/1 coupons= $4 for 3
3 Spinach Salads $2.99
2 Organic Apples packs $1.99- used $1 off $5 produce coupon

I also used the $5/15 Safeway frozen foods coupon and I also used (3) $1.25 cats from my last transaction. I can’t figure this receipt out because it looks like the frozen foods coupon took $10 off rather than $5. I think I might have loaded the $5 coupon onto my card and that might have been what happened.

Paid $11.76 and got back $3.75 in cats for the CPK

I must say Randalls/Safeway receipts are the craziest receipts to figure out! I tried to do the Gortons/Orida $3 deal the other day & it looks like I did not get the $3 back.

Can you help me understand catelinas a bit more. Today I bought 4 of the BC gummies on sale for .99 w/card. I used (2) .50/2 coupons & amazingly they both doubled (one was printed & one was from the GM coupons). I got a Cat saying $2 off next order & then an add strip telling me about the deal for gummies (buy 1 get x back , buy 2 get x…) So, was the $2 off next order the cat for the 4 gummies?

Also, if it says buy 3 boxes oatmeal between 2/28 & 3/22 get x amt back, does that mean you must buy 3 boxes all in one transaction or buy 3 total within that time frame? Are there anymore coupons on Quaker Oatmeal right now? Would be nice to stack something w/the current SFWY 1.77 ea Q.

    Thanks!

    Jen

Mine showed the same thing that I got $10 off, but I actually spent $30 on frozen food and it did include seafood which it states its excluded.

Jen did you see the matchups for the week? I listed the Quaker coupons available in the matchups:

The $2 catalina you received can be used on anything in that entire store that you want except the few exclusions listed on the coupon- like lottery tickets and beer and cigarettes. You should treat those like cash. It is not a $2 coupon to be used on a specific item it is basically cash. If you got an announcement for a catalina offer that lists the details of the promotion, you can toss that in the garbage.

You will always need to buy the required number of items in one transaction at Safeway. Every single time that is the case.

I got a 10 too and I didn’t think I had spent that much. I’m wondering if they are using the before on sale prices? along with before coupons?

Well my thought was some of us may have loaded the $5 coupon and then used a paper one too= $10. I vaguely remember loading coupons so I didn’t do it on purpose but I am thinking that may have been what happened. My total wouldn’t have been $30.

$10 of $50 spent. One time coupon. I got the $5 off for frozens AND the $10 off $50 last night… Oh and the $1 off $5 of produce.

Spent $46.14, saved $135.83. Plus got a $3 catalina AND 2 free blockbuster rentals for purchasing Coke and a can of Pringles.

I was so excited when I went to day because all of the frozen food deals and then got the fruit snacks and the catalina printed and one for $1.50 three fruit snacks so I went back on got five of them for .20 after my CPK cat I got too. It printed more of them too and a $3 cat!

Is there a limit to how many CPK pizzas you get? Or max for catalina? Thanks.

Shelly I don’t think so, but I would try and divide up your trips if you can to maximize those $5/15 coupons.
