Here are a few updates on the Safeway front- a few deals for those of you that have Just for U accounts and a deal for everyone.
First, the Just for U coupons are pretty good this week and since some of you might be struggling to find $75 this week for the catalina, these might help.

So those are pretty good coupons if you get lucky and find them in your account. If you do not have Just 4 U in your area there is a chance we will get lucky and see these coupons in the Sunday supplement.
I don’t know why I have been so darn pokey in posting this deal. But here is a deal that everyone should be able to take advantage of:
The little tiny boxes of U by Kotex liners are priced at $1.69
There is a new (ish) catalina running right now:
Buy 2 Kotex U products, get $1.50
Buy 3 Kotex U products, get $2.00
Buy 4 Kotex U products, get $3.00
So here is how the math works:
Buy 4 boxes of liners at $1.69
Use (4) $1/1 printable coupons
Pay $2.79 and get a $3 catalina back!
If you can only print 2 coupons, I would buy 2 boxes and get them free! The catalina runs through 4/17 so plenty of time to get this offer.

In my Safeway ad in the fine print about the $10 catalina for spending $75, it says that it is calculated after deduction of card savings and all other discounts and savings. Doesn’t that mean after coupons?
It also says it excludes fluid dairy, does that mean that it excludes philadelphia cooking creme and coffee creamer?
If you spend way less than $75 after coupons, will it still print out? I am just trying to see if it is worth it to use all my free item coupons to reach the $75 limit. Thanks for all you do!
Shoot I think it is gone- the .55 off one. I know it was there yesterday and now it isn’t.
Sarah- it should print before coupons but you really have to watch it because I think it is $75 after Safeway store coupons but before manufacturer. I heard from several people that did not get the catalina so you may have to deal with customer service. This is what Facebook says:
there are exclusions such as alcohol, tobacco products, all fluid items in the refrigerated dairy section (including fluid dairy and dairy substitutes). I would say no to creamer and yes to Philly.
For this one she doesn’t specifically say it prints before coupons but they did say it on the last post if you read the comments.

I would just watch and once the total it point out you are over $75 to the cashier and then hand over coupons and see what happens 🙂
There is also a $1.00 coupon on the Classico site.
Valerie- the only coupon I can find is for 44oz jars which are gigantic ones usually about $4. Do you see one for any Classico?
I went to Safeway yesterday and spend over $75 dollars. I did not buy any of the excluded items. I then used manufacturers coupons and it didn’t print. I then went to customer service and they said that manufacturers coupons count as part of the “all other discounts and savings”. I then went home and called to catalina company. They said told me the same thing. They told me that this promotion was different and that the total OOP needed to be more than $75, not including tax, crv, or excluded items. THE DEAL DOES NOT WORK IF THE TOTAL IS UNDER $75.00 AFTER MANUFACTURERS COUPONS.

M they are different for each person so you simply may not have received this one. I did get it and several others seem to as well.
I used my $2 off of Giards dressing on the $1.49 just 4 u price and the clerk adjusted the coupon. I was under the impression that the manufacturers paid the store the value of the coupon. If true then Safeway made the extra .51 cents and not me. How does that work? I still got the dressing for free so I am very happy.
I kind of think it is a scam too Stacey but that is just the way it is at every store except Walmart.
