Milk is basically $2.99 for me, so I look at it as paying $1.32 for 3 boxes of cereal.

use (3) $1/1 coupons
Pay $2.31 and get a catalina back for a free gallon of milk!

As always with catalina offers, there is a chance these are regional promotions. I can not guarantee you will get the catalinas above so your best bet is to look for signage in your store. If for some reason your cat does not print you can either return your items for a refund or contact catalina marketing and ask to have it mailed to you.

Sarah- you should get a cat for every 3 you buy. The limit on the in ad coupon is 4 though so you’d need to mix and match with other cereal.

Jennifer- as I said in the post this offer does not start until MARCH 18 which is not today but tomorrow. I even put it in bold font this time around. Sorry darlin- maybe you can return them tomorrow at customer service and see if they just give you the cats.
Safeway has (again) peeved me with taking coupons. I went to purchase 3 bottles of Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent ($3.00 each) and had 3/$1.25 coupons. The clerk said that she could only take one of the coupons….as she said “they have the same # of them so I can only take one”. Never heard that before! I had her take back 2 bottles and luckly she gave me the $0.50 double on an internet coupon. New rules….different day….!
I don’t have a Safeway near me, but my local grocery chain Giant/ Martin’s had the free milk catalinas the last few weeks. It was for a gallon up to $4.50. When I redeemed it the other day it took the entire $4.50 off my order, not the $3.52 that the milk cost. Just an FYI, to watch out for, some of you may get lucky and save an extra dollar.
My cereal coupon is for $1.99, not $1.77. I think this is the first time my coupon value has been different than what you posted. I’m in Pleasanton, CA.
When the coupon has Limit 4, does that mean for each shopping trip or do they track that on your card and limit you 4 for the entire week?

No, they do not limit you based on your card. Last time I got 25 California Pizza Kitchens during the catalina deal on my card and got the same price for all of them @$1.27 each after coupons n catalinas.
What happens is if you go past the limit SOMETIMES the price will go back to what it is before their coupon. This transaction is best to do in seperate threes because of the catalina anyways. (u might not get 2 catalinas doing 6 at a time, but you SURE CAN go through the line over and over again if u want.)
Just went to Safeway and did both of these deals and neither catalina printed. I know for sure the mccormick one is in the area because I got a catalina offer printed last week. So, I’ll give catalina marketing a call. Also, the fruit filled mini wheats are part of the sale.
I didn’t get a Cat for the McCormick either=(

I didn’t get the Catalina for the milk either…but when I went to the service desk, they gave me a rain check for a free milk!
I didn’t get the cats for the milk or the grinders either. When I went to customer service, they showed me the number on the bottom of the receipt to call to take care of this.

Same with me here in Northern CA. No catalina on the McCormick or the milk. Boo! 🙁 I’ll email customer service and see what happens!
Ok well this is just how it is with catalinas. Maybe this is only for a limited region or maybe everyone shopped too early. I have not the foggiest idea. I would just refer to the post for your options if you don’t want the products you purchased.
Just wondering if anyone has called the Catalina company yet? I’m wondering what they said– if we were supposed to get them today in No Cal or not.
Sarah I just heard from someone at Tom Thumb that did get the cat on the Grinders. I wonder if the stores were just pokey in getting this promotion in the system? I haven’t heard from anyone that got cheated out of the cat yet today though.
Definately no cat for these today. I went and bought 3 Kellogg’s, 3 grinders, and 4 reach toothbrushes. The only thing I got was the $4 cat for the reach. Thanks for the updates! Too bad for me, because I went shopping before I read them. =)

I called Catalina earlier today regarding both the McCormick and the Kelloggs. They took my receipt info and said they’s look into it. So I still don’t know if it was available in my area or not. I guess I’ll know for sure if they arrive in my mail box…lol. I’m in Chico, CA.
I went to Safeway (Santa Cruz county) again today to get the Kellogs cereals (2 fruit filled Mini Wheats & 1 Crunchy Nut for $1.99 ea., $1 off coupons on each) and 3 CA Pizza Kitchen pizzas ($3.49 ea. after sale & coupons), and didn’t get a catalina for either purchase. I also got 2 Mccormick grinders with coupons yesterday and didn’t get a catalina for that either. I’ll call them on Monday. I still think $.99 apiece for the cereal is pretty good though.
I just got a call back from the folks at Catalina Marketing and they informed me that Safeway is not participating in this promotion (the milk that is). I didn’t purchase the grinders. Hope this helps.
Alice, I have been looking into this and I think what has happened is a tiered roll out of the cat 🙁 So frustrating because I researched before I posted but it looks like some areas started on 3/18, some are 3/23 and some are 3/24. So I am not mentioning this again until I get my fanny into the store on the 24th to test it personally. The bummer is that the 24th is when the new ad breaks so who knows if we have a decent deal to work with.
Just received an email back from catalina marketing. They said that Safeway is not participating in the Kelloggs/Free Milk promotion. As far as McCormick, they said they have forwarded my info to their fulfillment department and it should take 6 weeks for processing.
The cereal cat is printing at Raley’s/Bel Air . . . too bad their cereal prices aren’t as good as Safeway!

Received phone call this morning from Catalina letting me know that “No Safeway” had the Kelloggs promotion the 18th, but the McCormick catalina should have printed. So they are mailing me a $4 catalina (I bought 5). Yay!
