Safeway Deals 3/23-3/29

03/22/2011 By Charlene 15 Comments

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

Be sure to read about the new Just for U program rolling out at Safeway!

*NOTE: With any catalina offer I can not promise you it will print. You can try to log on to Coupon Network and see if you spot available catalinas for your specific store.  That site is not comprehensive and if the cat is referenced and doesn’t print, you will still have to do one of the following things listed below.  Please understand, you are rolling the dice with these offers. If your catalina does not print you can do three things:

1. Keep the items at the price you paid.
2. Return the items for a refund.
3. Contact catalina marketing and inquire. If there was a simple problem with the machines at your store they will mail the catalina to you.

I would not advise trying any deals that involve catalinas if you are going to be upset if it doesn’t print unless you specifically find signage at your store indicating it is for sure available.

Any other great deals you can see this week?

Last time i used the frozen food Q to buy dino nuggets. It did not work. I did not read the fine print BUT there is picture of TGI friday chicken wings ON THE COUPON! That is meat! Unless TGI Friday chicken wings are not REALLY made of chicken ;P. What do they mean by meat? Has anyone tried fish sticks or other nuggets?

    Sandy,
I did the Foster Farm Nuggets last time, not really thinking, because like you said the TGI Friday wings are on the coupon and it did beep, but they pushed it through. It is meat, but I just assumed it was like the bags of frozen chicken breasts or seafood that they were referring too on the coupon.

There is a $1 off 1 Coupon for the PF Changs in the Raley’s Bel-Air Frozen book. 🙂

That is weird Charlene, because I am in just a different area of Sacramento then you, and instead of the the 2 day sale that you posted, my ad says it’s a 4 day sale Friday-Monday. I took a double take because I have a Just 4 U price on the Jennie-O ground turkey of $3.29 a package so with the BOGO special I should get 2 packs for $3.29 (so I don’t wan to miss the deal). Thanks for all you do!!!

Charlene did you get a different ad than me? I am in Roseville but my ad says the things you put as a 2 day sale are a 4 day sale from friday thru monday.

Nope I just forgot to change my template back from last week when they had that 2 day special for St Patricks day. I fixed it.

I saw mention of a Raley’s frozen food book. Haven’t heard about this – is there one available at Raley’s?

Tiffany, the only one I saw was buy 4 boxes Kellog’s Cereal get 2 gallons milk free, but that was posted in Kroger’s flyer.

I was confused at Randall’s today. The Pillsbury brownie mix was a hit at 88cents/box, but I could not find anywhere any Nabisco Crackers for $1 (my store were $1.99) I also could not find any Kellogg’s cereals for $1.99. Did I read your matchup wrong??

    03/24/2011 at 5:16 PM

Nikki did you double check your local ad? It would be impossible for any grocery store to have an identical ad for every single store across the country. They could never get identical produce for one thing. So you always want to double check your local ad for any differences.

The crackers were listed on page 4 under $10 for 10. The cereal was on page 1 under eggs and next to Yuban coffee.

My safeway is offering a 2-day promo, Friday and Saturday. Spend $75, get a $10 OYNO coupon, and it looks like there is another $10 cashback as well. (When I checked out this afternoon, the catalina machine said something about spend $50 and receive $10 as a Mastercard gift card. I am assuming that is the second $10). This is not listed in the paper, but it is taped to the front door, the exit, by each cashier, etc. I asked one of the cashiers, and she says it is before coupons. Unfortunately, I don’t see much at Safeway that I want this week! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to pick up?

thank you, I will check the ad!

Cereal was listed as 2/$5 and I couldn’t find the crackers. Thanks for clearing it up for me. Although, this is the first time where my Ad and your matchup did not……match. 🙁

I was going to buy 2 boxes of the Ore-Ida hash brown patties (9 in a box) and use the $1.00/2 coupon from the Safeway frozen food book. The register beeped, and the cashier would not push it through manually. She said the picture showed a BAG, and the hash brown patties I wanted to buy were in a BOX. I responded that the coupon stated “ANY Ore-Ida Frozen Hash Browns” without mention of bag or box, but she absolutely refused. Therefore, it was a no go for me.
