Kashi has a nice promotion available right now.
If you purchase a box of Kashi Cereal and you don’t like it, you can just fill in the Kashi rebate and they will send you a coupon to get a new Kashi product for free ($5 in value).
You need to have your original receipt and cereal box top for the rebate form.
We love Kashi cereals and there have been some fantastic sales lately so this rebate comes at a perfect time.
(NOTE: This is not a try me free rebate that anyone can take advantage of. This is actually only meant for those that purchase the cereal and decide they don’t care for it. I think it is an excellent way to try something new, although I suspect most people will like these cereals once they give them a shot!)
You can still get the $1/1 Kashi Berry Blossoms cereal coupon here!
(Thanks Money Saving Mainiac)

So this is more like a money-back guarantee, not a rebate. I think if you buy the Kashi cereal and you like it, you shouldn’t request your money back.
I agree Wendy. It isn’t really a rebate and it really isn’t money back because you get a coupon.
I agree with you both as well. I’ve been sort of disappointed with the manner in which this is advertised on all my favorite coupon websites. If you use this rebate and you actually like the product I consider that theft.
That said, if this motivates someone who hasn’t ever tried one of their cereals to try it and they find themselves dissatisfied then go ahead and contact the company for your money back.
I should have worded that a little differently. I recently discovered this website and really do enjoy it. I don’t want my first comment to make me such a negative person!
Julie you are welcome to offer your opinion. I don’t think I suggested to people that they lie and say they hated something to steal from Kashi. But I think this is a great opportunity for those that are not familiar with the products to go ahead and check them out. I said: “If you purchase a box of Kashi Cereal and you don’t like it” do you feel that I presented it in a way that implied people should lie and say they didn’t like it to get the rebate? I don’t feel that I did but if it reads that way to others I can edit the post. I try to keep MFA upbeat and this is not a site that gets lots of greedy people that are looking for ways to cheat to get a deal so I usually don’t feel the need to say something like “please don’t lie to get this coupon.”
I am so glad you cleared that up Charlene. I wasn’t sure what you meant by the post either. I am glad they are offering a guarantee for people to try it, and see if they like it. In your post to Wendy it sounded to me like maybe you were justifying why it was ok to take the rebate because it was a coupon, and not really money back. But like I said I am glad you cleared up what you meant by the post. Thanks.
Hmm. ok I will try to find a nice way to edit it so others aren’t confused. I don’t like people thinking I am encouraging them to cheat. Wendy said:
I think if you buy the Kashi cereal and you like it, you shouldn’t request your money back.
and I said I agreed with her or at least I thought that was what I said.
I agree with everyone in general.
Charlene, near the end of your post, you say “We love Kashi cereals,…so this rebate comes at a perfect time.” It sounds like you plan to mail in your box top even though you like Kashi.
I agree that other blogs post titles like “free cereal” even when they like the cereal, and that is not right.
My intention in saying I liked Kashi was to encourage people to try it. I was also trying to point out that there are many deals so the offer comes at a time when the products are very well priced anyway.
I think most of you read a lot more blogs than I do- so I can’t say what other people are promoting. I edited the post so there should not be any additional uncertainty as to my intent. If there is still confusion this is my official stance on the matter:
Try the cereal. If you like it- there are great prices right now to take advantage of.
If you don’t like it- there is a promotion to get a coupon to try another flavor you might like better.
If you do like it please don’t take advantage of this promotion by saying you don’t.
I typically find my readers are honest and ethical people so I don’t think I need to make any further clarifications.
