Just passing along a tip… Went to my CVS to use the Coinstar machine (the piggy wouldnt take them anymore) they now have the option of redeeming your change for a CVS gift card and it waives the counting fee. Instead of getting cash I got the card and used it for my CVS shopping trip. I didn’t have to do the coin counting myself and I still have money left over on it for next weeks “free items”

Went to walmart last night and there were $1/2 Honest Tea coupons right next to them in the case at the register. Makes for a better deal. $8 for 4 boxes of triscuits and 8 honest teas. Plus $5 ECB

Went to CVS today, scanned my card at the machine, and got my $5 extra bucks for $50 in Beauty purchases! Then I bought the $6.99 5ct. Allegra and the $3.49 Glide floss. I had another $1 extra buck from the green bag tag, plus a $2 coupon for Allegra and a $0.75 coupon for Glide. To keep it simple I only made one transaction. I used the coupons and extra bucks, paid $2.13 (includes tax), and got back $9.49 in extra bucks! ($6.99 for Allegra & $2.50 for Glide). Didn’t realize I could have gotten 2 Glide flosses as I had another coupon and they are allowing 2 extra buck rewards on it. Thanks for posting all these deals and simplifying my shopping and saving!!

I went to our CVS today and got most of the deals. When I was going to pay with my ECB 9.99, 1.00 and 5.00, I was told that the machine can’t accept all of my ECB’s.

Only 1 ECB coupon per transaction since there seems to be an ongoing scam where some people buy stuff with ECBs and return them keeping the ECB that came with it. So now, CVS is changing the policy on how ECBs are used. Is there someone out there who had the same experience? It sucks since I plan my shopping at CVS with the 5 off/25 coupons, plus manufacturer’s coupons, CVS coupons, and ECBs. Now, I can only use one ECB when I shop.

    03/20/2011 at 8:25 PM

My CVS had coupons on the shelve under the Reach toothbrushes for $2.00 off any one Reach Toothbrush. I was able to use them for the 5 for $5.00 deal:) They were kind of hiding so look around to see if your CVS has some!

  9. jenny says

    03/21/2011 at 8:00 AM

Mia mine didnt do that last week. But, what if you divide up your transactions? I know it is a pain but I ususally divide up mine in two anyways. Did they say if that is the officially policy? I have noticed different checkers act differently towards coupons.

  10. Mia says

    03/21/2011 at 12:25 PM

    Hi Jenny,

No, I don’t know if it’s official, but the manager was called in to override the glitch, he was also stunned to see that he can’t. For a while, I thought they were insinuating that I returned stuff and just got the ECB’s, but they could see that the whole receipt is there with all 3 ECB coupons. And that I didn’t return any of the items nor do I return any of them since I find it unfair to be claiming ECBs for items that you plan to return anyway.

Oh well, yeah, I just have to divvy up my ECB coupons. Now, I have to do more out of pocket since there are stuff that I super like and just pay with a bunch of ECBs.

i went to CVS today and all the ECB deals were sold out or missing at the store I went to.

I took lemons and made lemonade (wanted to use a $5/25 coupon) from my email and got creative.

I went with the Theraflu caplets (for the mail in rebate), and bought the Playtex gentle glide 36 count with a $1.00 coupon & $3 ECB, 4 packs of Reese’s eggs ($10, used $1 man Q and got back a $33 ECB).
    1 dawn liquid .97 (used .25 cent Q), 2 Wonka Bars (used 2 $1 off Qs);

The $5 off $25 wasn’t going to work but luckily the cashier knew not to argue with me and he pushed it through. I got a ton of Q’s from the red machine also.

I can’t find the Arm and Hammer Spinbrush $6.49
Get $2 ECB (limit 2) deal on my CVS ad…from Northern CA…what page is it?

  13. Charlene says

    03/21/2011 at 3:30 PM

Judith- remember the CVS ad for California is always a little different than the national ad so it may not be available. With that being said, I could swear to you I saw the tags in store when I was there this weekend. I normally wouldn’t send you on a wild goose chase but I am almost certain it was marked in my store.

This is the ad I used for the matchups this week- it is the national ad:

  14. Judith says

    03/21/2011 at 3:40 PM

Thanks Charlene!, I hope they do have the deal here then…but I will go prepared with a different transaction scenario in case they don’t.

Did anyone else get the $3/15 skin care coupon out of the machine last week? I used it on the Garnier deal. Got three moisturizers $5 each, used the $3/15 coupon, and $5 worth of Garnier skin care MQs ad got $5 ECBs…so my total after coupons and ECBs was only $2 for 3 moisturizers!

  16. paulina says

    03/22/2011 at 6:49 AM

ECB Question: When an ECB deal is featured for two weeks in a row (like the current Crest Pro-Health toothpaste deal), does the limit apply to each week or for that month? In other words, I got the deal last week, but now that it is featured in the ad again this week, can I go get 2 more boxes and still get the ECB’s? Thanks so much for all you do, by the way. Your site is my new daily fix!

  17. marie says

    03/22/2011 at 7:12 AM

My CVS had a problem accepting all my ECBs too…but the manager overrode it, no problem.

Best deal I got: I had a $6 off Physicians Formula coupon from the machine from last week, and I used that combined with the 40% sale on all PF products to get a FREE organic mascara.

  18. Kate says

    03/22/2011 at 10:33 AM

I went to CVS and used the buy $15, get $5 ECB deal. I bought 4 boxes of Triscuits, 2 boxes of Wheat Thins, and 3 bottles of Honest Tea. Used 9 $1/1 coupons (6 cracker coupons from Facebook, 3 Honest Tea coupons from Recycle Bank). Paid $6 and got $5 ECB. I love getting these deals!
