I get all sorts of questions asking which printers I recommend. I have a Brother HL-2140 printer myself and I have loved this printer for about 2 years. It is a laser printer so it will only print in black and white. I have never had a problem with black and white coupons being accepted but that is one thing to keep in mind.
Personally, I have found the toner to be very reasonably priced (I buy it for about $30 on Amazon every few months) and it is super speedy.
I have not had any problems with my printer at all and I print much higher volumes than an average person would.
So with all that being said, Office Depot currently has a Brother Laser printer on sale for $50. This is not the same model that I have- it is the HL2240. I think this might be a nice deal though if you are in the market for something fairly inexpensive.

I have the HL2140 too. AWESOME printer. My sister and few friends have one as well… we all love our printers.
I have the 2170w which is the wireless version of the 2140. I love it and am still using the starter toner after several months. I had to block the sensors with colored tape (this is a common issue I had read about) recently because it won’t allow printing if the toner is low even thought the print quality is fine. I just bought 2 replacement cartridges at 123inkjets.com for $65 shipped plus $19 back from ebates. I am very happy I switched to laser. I still like my hp all-in-one inkjet, but it was costing me a fortune to print coupons. Also, I had a few coupons not work from the inkjet, but the laser printed coupons are flawless.
I have the HL-2140 and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had it for a few months now and I am on the same starter toner that it came with and I print tons!! I had an HP printer before and was going through ink every week! SO needless to say I love my HL-2140!!! I got mine refurbished at Staples.com when they had a rebate and I had a coupon so I got a great deal on it, best printer!
We have the 2170W and love it. We purchased it on sale for $100 and it is also wireless and has the option of the high yield cartridge. I worked/managed at an office supply store for 10 years and I would only consider buying a brother laser printer. If you do a lot of printing it might be in your best interest to spend more on the printer since the low end units most frequently only have a low yield cartridge option. And there is a significant price per print difference between a high yield and low yield cartridge. Happy Printing!!!

@NJ- I got mine from a seller on Amazon for $79. It was a killer deal I couldn’t pass up. I had been watching the sales for a few months and jumped on that one. You can get one refurbished for about the same price, but it looks like the 2270DW is a better deal right now at $99 new and it also does duplex printing. I have read some people have issues with the wireless setup, but if you have Windows7, it nearly does it for you.
I plan to get a printer b/c I’m in college and an couponer so that I print a lot. If I print at school, it costs me .10/page so I don’t print much and miss a lot of deal. When I see this post, I was like hit a treasure. Since my budget is not much so the cheaper and good quality is a must for me. Thanks so much about this. But I have a question: does this printer can work on the other computers (not mine, might be cousins though)? b/c I never owned the printer therefore I have no idea.

I have this one in the garage and the HL-2170W in the home office. Here’s a hint about toner…on one side of the cartridge is a little window. Something optical inside the printer measure the toner level and will begin having printer errors when it “decides” the toner is low. TAPE UP THE WINDOW! And the printer won’t have printer errors for “low toner” You’ll know when its time to replace. Also, use “draft” mode to print coupons.

There is a shop and earn section with lots of different stores. Every purchase gets 2 bucks per dollar spent and there are additional store promotioal codes listed as well. Once I got to the Office Depot page through Swagbucks, I just searched for the printer and added the promo code listed in the original post.
At the top of the SB homepage there are a number of drop down menus, “rewards”, “earn” “promote”, “toolbars”, “more”. Under “more” the last option says “even more” and you will find a page full of links to Swagbucks features. Shop & Earn is the last link on the right column.
