Pure Mexican Vanilla $4.60/jar Shipped

This is a pretty random thing but I was ordering myself and thought I’d mention it to you.  I usually find really good prices on vanilla on Amazon and I typically buy once a year or so.  We are out from the last time I ordered and I was looking around and found this Pure Mexican Vanilla- a 3pk of 4oz containers for $13.80. Shipping is free.  That works out to $4.60/jar.

I got married in Puerto Vallarta and a good friend dragged me to Sam’s Club just to buy vanilla that week.  I have been seriously hooked on Mexican vanilla ever since- but if you prefer Organic or Madagascar Vanilla they have good prices and most have free shipping with Prime/AmazonMom.

You can also check out The Spice Hunter Pure Vanilla 3pk (2oz jars) for $13.38– or $4.46 each.

They also have Simply Organic Vanilla in a 2pk for $12.92 when you select subscribe and save on the right side.  This is a 4oz jar- so still a good price.

Just remember if you select subscribe and save you will either need to go into your account and cancel once your shipment arrives or you can keep the service but the price is not guaranteed to stay the same.

Mexican vanilla is the best!!! The last time I went to Cabo I stocked up and I just ran out earlier this year. Nice to know it’s on Amazon! I would prefer to just go to Mexico. 😉

Carla- I hope this brand is as good as I remember. It is so worth the extra price to get something really good. Someone said on FB they can get it cheaper at the grocery store but I can’t remember ever seeing pure vanilla- let alone Mexican vanilla for this price anywhere.

I would take the trip to PV again too but I can tell you no amount of money is worth going to a Sam’s Club in Mexico. That was not the best experience 😛

is there a difference between vanilla american style or mexican style…

Karen there is. Has you ever had Mexican Chocolate or Hot Chocolate? It is so good! They add spices in that make is radically different. For the vanilla, it is a different flavor too. I don’t know how to explain it .

I have had it, it was quite delicious! how do you use it in cooking? is it to take the place of vanilla extract? I preferred the mexican chocolate since it had a little kick….

I agree.. Mexican vanilla is much better.. Its stronger for one thing and they use real vanilla in it. Much of what you buy in the US is artificial flavoring, not the real McCoy.
I still get my Mexican vanilla from Texas but I’ve been seeing it here in Ohio more & more.. Wherever you’ll find a Mexican population, you’ll also find a store that imports all sorts of goods from Mexico.

Yup exactly. I just use it instead of normal vanilla. Adds that little extra something…

I was just asking my mother if there was really that much of a difference in vanilla…. I guess this answers my question ;0 )

When I was in Cabo, I just bought it at a regular store… I didn’t have to go to Sam’s Club. But there is a Costco in Cabo – maybe you could get a really big vanilla there? 🙂
