If you are looking for more natural products for the lunchboxes, here is one idea from Amazon.
You can get a 30pk of Stretch Island Fruit Strips for $11.38 with free shipping. That works out to $.38 each and these would be prefect to slip into your purse for kiddo meltdown emergencies.
You can get regular fruit rollups and fruit snacks for next to nothing at the grocery stores- but Stretch Island is a little different.
They are all natural, glutton free and have no sugar added.
The best price is on the mango flavor- which is $10.85 when you select subscribe and save on the right side- do not click add to cart! (If you don’t see a subscribe and save option- just look for the large blue box in the center of the screen- click on buy directly from Amazon and it will pop up.)
You can also get apricot or raspberry for $11.38 or get cherry or grape for $11.89.
Be sure to select the subscribe and save option on the right side to get these prices and you get free shipping. Β Once your order arrives you can go into Your Account on Amazon and cancel this option. Β You can no further obligations. Β (If you decide to keep it you are not guaranteed this price.)
My girls love these things.

Forget the kids…I love these things!!! Okay, I guess I’ll share. π
FYI…the strawberry was only $10.86 for me after subscribe and save. When I searched for Stretch Island, it said $13.xx, but when I clicked on it, it said $12.xx and after s&s, it dropped to 10!!!

These are really good, and this a fantastic price!

Oh I am so glad! I wasn’t sure if I should post since $11 is kind of a lot when Betty Crocker is free π But these are just a world of difference from old Betty.

Thanks for posting. I’m willing to pay a little more for the more natural products with no sugar added.

We love these…but I found a 48 pack at Grocery Outlet for 5.99 awhile ago. It’s so hard for me to pay more than that now – especially when the same pack I bought is selling at Costco for 11 or so.

My son got one of these in a party bag a few weeks ago and just raved about it, but I thought they were pricey! Thanks for posting- this is a great deal.
Charlene says
You know Emily I used to like Grocery Outlet until I found that nearly everything was so close to expiring. I just couldn’t eat it fast enough. Do you have the same problem? I know many products you can eat after the expiration date but it gives me the creeps to do it π
Charlene says
Amy- now you need to do guest star posts π What is your budget with all those kids and mostly organic? Did you ever write about that? I am about one foot in the water right now. Amazon seems to make it easier though.
Stephanie says
Oh yay! Melt down food… Haha, that is totally what this will be. DH usually picks these things up as we are going through the grocery store for LO (they insist on coming grocery shopping with me).
My mom loves Grocery Outlet… She shops at the one in Pleasant Hill… But I’m in Sacramento and the closest one is West Sac and I went one time and just wasn’t impressed… But my says she just LOVES it. On some things I didn’t think the prices were that great and idk… I just didn’t love it like my mom…
Nicole says
The problem with Grocery Outlet is they don’t take coupons. Every once is awhile you can find a good deal, but it’s not worth it for me to make the trip. Just FYI – Trader Joes has the all natural fruit strips for .59. I used to buy these for my son all the time.
amy says
Yes…this is an excellent deal! I pay 99 cents for these babies regularly. Keep these kinds of deals coming! Our diet is mostly organic/natural and there are hardly deals for these kinds of things!

We are currently at $100 for our family of 6 (soon to be 7! π ). Here are my secrets……I use my swagbucks to pay for any good organic deals like this one. I also rely heavily on Grocery Outlet. I only buy products that are far from expiring. I have been shopping there for over a year and absolutely love it. They have the best organic products at excellent prices. For example, I bought some little Earth’s Best organic pizzas for the kids for 50 cents a box (expiration was FAR away). A couple days later, I went to Whole Foods and saw the EXACT same product for $4.99!!!! I couldn’t believe it! I’ve also found Annie’s Organic ketchup for 99 cents a bottle (those sell for 5 bucks at Raley’s!). The G.O. here is awesome!! Plus, (Charlene, you will love this) they have specialty cheeses for super cheap. Oh, and wine!!! That is the only place we buy our wine. And, yes, I have found some products that were about to expire, but I don’t buy those. It’s not worth it to me.

Okay tried to leave a comment twice on this page and it isn’t showing it….hmmmm. Pick the better of the two! π

Thank you Charlene for posting all these awesome Amazon deals! With prime’s free shipping, it makes these deals impossible to resist. The food, diapers, wipes – I love it all! I am ALL about eating organic when the price is right. I am a faithful follower and convert more of my friends to the website all the time π Thanks again!

I wish these were GLUTTON free! lol I love these, and just did the Safeway deal for the fruit roll ups with the Catalina for $3 back and wish they had the “Simply Fruit” Fruit Roll Ups at my store. I love GO (what I call Grocery Outlet) but yes, you really do have to pay attention to expiration dates. You can find some good deals there once in awhile, but I have noticed they are raising their prices like everyone else.
Charlene says
SEVEN! Well God Bless Amy I am hiding from mine right now and I Have two! OK I will check Grocery Outlet again. Ours is funky IMO but I did find some good deals there in the past.
emily says
momto3 – we call it “The GO” π
Charlene – like Amy, we only buy what is far from expiration. We also have certain things we buy there that we can (usually) only get there. They have Daily’s bacon (which is tasty) 3lbs of Ends & Pieces for 4.99. I do confess that my husband usually does our GO shopping, though, because it’s not my favorite store.
Stephanie says
I can tell you that I bought some stuff at GO that were going to expire soon and it was still ok. I bought some Organic Oikos Greek Yogurt for $1 for the pint size I believe (Oh they’re sooo good), I don’t want to scare you guys but I ate them even 2 to 3 weeks after the expiration date and they were OK. I’ve been eating yogurt past the expiration date (the most I did was 2 to 3 weeks though) for more than one year and I’ve never been sick.
As for the deals it can be a hit or a miss so it’s good when it’s on your way to somewhere but last time I found some organic extra large brown eggs for $3.49 the pack of 20, it makes the dozain to $2, you cannot beat that and the expiration was in 3 weeks.
So it’s a question of luck but the more you’ll go the more you’ll have chance to find some good deals but it’s true that a lot of stuff are not worth it.
Amy says
Oh yeah….that’s another thing I get there….organic eggs!!!
Charlene…I think the management makes or breaks the store. There is an awesome couple that runs our store. They’ve actually hired a wine guy which I think is brilliant! With all the great wine, gourmet cheeses and organic food, I definitely don’t feel like I’m at an “outlet”!
Tara says
Charlene thank you for this! I also bought the fruit snacks but to make myself feel better grabbed 2 simply fruit and the rest were the bad kind. We alternate with those and I just ran out of the Clif Fruit Twists from that great deal a few weeks back at Soap.com. This will make a great addition to our rotation, and you saved me a trip to Costco (worth it even though it is a few less snacks)! I have been trying not to shop there because I know I will buy WAY more than just the one or two good buys I go in there to get!
