I got an email from Starbucks Rewards that says artisan breakfast sandwiches are priced at $2 through January 10th.
They have two flavors available and I am super delighted to see one is vegatarian:

To get this price you also need to purchase a beverage. You can get the details here– it seems the last few promotions Starbucks has not communicated properly with the stores. If you have any problems getting this price, it is featured prominently right on the Starbucks homepage.
And if you are heading into Starbucks you can purchase a gift card for any amount you like- use it for your purchase and then come back and register the gift card number at My Starbucks Rewards. They will mail you a coupon for a free drink on your birthday and then you can start earning more free drinks each time you use that gift card.
Thank you for all of your great posts! The sandwich does contain eggs, not an egg substitute. They are meat free however, just not vegetarian.
Starbucks is NOT frugal, but a yummy splurge. I just tried the veggie sandwich this morning, and it is wonderful.
Tasha- right eggs. You know I have been a vegetarian for 17 years but I eat eggs and cheese. I always considered non egg eaters vegan but maybe ovo lacto vegetarian is the correct way to describe myself.
