Safeway Shoppers: Skippy PB $.50!

I double checked yesterday that Skippy is still priced at $1.89 at Target.

If you have found the new Safeway Joy of Football coupon book you can get a great deal.

Personally I like shopping at Target because I think you will get a larger selection.  But here are two options:

Buy 2 Skippy Peanut Butter at $1.89
Use (2) $1/1 Joy of Football coupon book coupons
and Use .75/2 Target coupon
Final Price: $1.03 for 2 jars

The other option would be to go to Walgreens this week where they have it priced at $1.50.  You can either purchase it there for .50 or take the Walgreens ad to Target or Walmart and price match.  You won’t be able to use the Target coupon on top of that but .50 a jar is a great deal!

I didn’t find organic Skippy at my Target but I did find the Skippy Natural priced at $1.89!

(Thanks Saving with Shellie!)

I wish I had a Safeway 🙁 We are partial to Jiff-
Charlene, does Jiff ever have coupons that I can just buy the peanut butter and not both pb and jelly? I joined Jiff’s email club but they never have coupons on it….

My Safeway doesn’t have the Football coupon books nor have any information about them. When I called the corporate office yesterday, the man there had never heard of them either! Hmmm….

I just sent an email through their website.

Rachel, This was the first week it was in the ad- so the stores have only had 2 days to get the books out. I am sure your store will have it available anytime now. You can show them the photo that was pictured a few times in the ad if needed.

These are $1.49 at Raley’s this week if you’re near one – they have the Natural there too.

Emily I have that listed in the Raleys matchups but thank you. Only a small minority of my readers have access to a Raley’s store but most people should be able to get to one of the 4 stores listed.

It’s morning and I’m a little slow. I’m not following how you can buy the pb at wags for $.50. Is the sw Q a manaf’s q that I can take to wags and use? And if it is, does that mean the target q must be a store q that sw will honor? Or is the target q a manaf’s q and the sw q is a store q that wags will honor? I’m sorry to take your time, I’m just confused.

Susan Target will price match a competitors ad. So take your coupon from Safeway and go to Walgreens where they have it priced at $1.50. Your $1 coupon makes the price $.50. Or if you don’t want to go to Walgreens, take the weekly Walgreens ad into Target and ask for a price match for $1.50. Then use your coupon and pay .50. Or do that at Walmart.

If you don’t have a Walgreens ad or you can’t be bothered to price match- just buy 2 of them at Target for 1.89 and use the Target coupon to pay an extra penny per jar. There should be an option for everyone in there- just pick the one you like.

It should be pretty simple there are just several options so maybe that is what is confusing to you.

I read the post again along with your comment and I think I got it now. I told you I was slow in the morning! *:o)

Sweet! My WAG’s is dirty and never has any thing in stock (I’ll buy pens or something but I don’t like to buy food there) But price matching at Target is something I always forget about! Thanks for the reminder…You are awesome!

Right- it is hard to phrase these kinds of posts because if I say “Target $.50 PB” I will have an uproar of people that shop at Target and don’t have Safeway 🙂
