Local Readers: Sprouts Farmers Market Coming Soon!

For my local readers, I wanted to let you know about something that I am really excited about.  We should be getting a Sprouts Farmers Market this year!

The store should be opening in Roseville near the Galleria in the same parking lot as Costco and Toys R Us.  I saw the signage up on the vacant building but I haven’t seen exactly when the store will be ready.  (It is the building that used to be a Linens N Things I think right next to Staples.)

I have been looking online at the weekly ads for Sprouts and it looks to me like the sales on produce specifically are really fantastic.  I also asked a few other bloggers that cover this store and heard raves!  Apparently they issue a monthly ad in addition to the weekly ad which is even more fantastic.  How nice to actually have a month to go and get your deal!

Does anyone have any additional information about when this store will be open?  Usually with a new chain in the region we should see lots of grand opening specials too!

I noticed a farmer’s market opening in Roseville Square where Ross used to be as well. How does this work if it’s a chain? Are they still selling local produce?

Yay! I’m in Lincoln- was just at Costco today! I can’t wait! I never realized you were so close.

I was going to say the same thing! Check out the sunflower farmers market online (it will open in the trader joes center in April) they also seemed to have great produce sales with Wednesday double ad days! Funny I saw the sprouts banner this afternoon on my way to target 75% off 🙂 no idea about the sprouts opening but I’ve shopped at my mom’s in so cal many times. Great sandwhiches and smoothies.

loved sprouts when it first opened near my house, but a year later, not quite as excited over it. still a great place for produce deals, but the deals tend to be for the same vegetables & fruits, which can get a bit old. (no more zucchini!) it can also be extra work to go to multiple stores, since sprouts doesn’t carry regular dry goods or inexpensive dairy products. (well, when it first opened, their organic milk was cheaper than everywhere else, but the price has climbed up to match whole foods since then)

but still, weds double ad days can be pretty awesome.

I was wondering what Sprouts was when I drove by! It would be nice to go to one spot to get all the fruit and veggies for the week instead of driving all around town for the deals.

Right Madeline and my Safeway is always out of the good stuff too. I am hoping it is local produce and not the imported stuff.

I miss Sprouts almost more than I miss anything else in CA! They have a ton of bulk dry stuff, from trail mix to flour which is really convenient! And I was usually happy with their meat and produce, and even when it wasn’t on sale it was very reasonably priced! You do have to do two stores because they don’t carry the general brands for things like cereal and crackers and stuff, but I always found it to be well worth it!

I think they’re a So-Cal company because there was a ton of them down there, and they branched off from another family owned farmer’s market called Henry’s.

We have Sprouts near us and I LOVE their produce. They have great sales every week and on Weds. they have double ad days. The ads for the previous week and current week are both available on Weds. Between Sprouts and Newflower markets, I hardly shop at HEB anymore. Both stores have way cheaper prices on their produce than HEB and the quality is better to me. Their meats are also great.

This is great–it looks oddly similar (even the website layout) to Henrys which opened a bit ago in Elk Grove. Henrys has the same doube ad deals too. Definitely a step up from Trader Joes but I still love Whole Foods. 🙂
