Here are a handful of free Nook downloads courtesy of Barnes and Noble. Some of these are entire books and some are just previews (like the James Patterson books).
I will be posting Kindle freebies a little later today- so stay tuned for that. It looks like the Nookbooks can also be viewed on an iPad or smart phone with the free download available.
These e-readers did not budge in price over the holidays so the Nook is still starting at $149 and the Kindle is starting at $139 on Amazon.
Buy.com has refurbished 3G+ wifi Nooks for $139 (usually $199, equivalent to the $189 Kindle).
I recently bought a Nook for $112.00 it is refurbished and works great.
