Now this is a seriously good deal on a Tassimo Brewer. This is for sure the time to buy if you have had your eye on this because I have never seen it this low before.
Here is the deal:
::Head over to Amazon where it is listed at $129.99
::You will want to scroll down until you see this box on the left side- you will purchase the unit at $129 and you get a $50 gift card for use on a future purchase at Amazon.
Make sure to click that button to add it to your cart or you cheat yourself out of $50.
::Then submit for the $30 mail in rebate for Tassimo brewers.
That means you will pay $129 but you get $30 back in a rebate and you get $50 back in credit to Amazon. So the net is $49.99 or at least 50% off.
Your shipping is free!
*This is the exact unit I have. If you are on the fence about this or a Keurig, in my opinion they are both nice machines. This one is much smaller than the Keurig so better for compact spaces but for overall aesthetics I think the Keurig is nicer looking. My main dislike is that the disks can be hard to find. I buy them at Target for $5.99-7.99 (that is Maxwell House or Starbucks and each pack has 12-16 disks.) So .37 per cup of coffee. I have found Keurig disks to be a little cheaper and they go on sale on Amazon for as low as .31 each.
The thing I like most is that Tassimo offers hot chocolate, cappuccinos, macchiatos, chai lattes and all sorts of yummy espresso drinks. I believe Keurig just started producing these as well but if you want a machine more for espresso type drinks the Tassimo is a great option. Also, the cheapest a Keurig B60 machine will get is about $100- so this is half the price.
Thanks Common Sense with Money!

YAY! I wanted to get one of these for my aunt and uncle that host all the holidays. But of course they are way out of my gift buying budget… Thanks sooo much!

That is an AWESOME deal. I’ve been looking at these machines, because we have a wonky kitchen with only 12 inches of space on the counters under the cabinets, so the Keurig is too small. Do you by chance know if they make reusable pods for these? I use Teccino “coffee” and would love to use it with this machine. TIA!

Thanks Charlene! I am so excited. I have been looking at the Keurig, but didn’t buy it because I don’t really like coffee (I am an espresso drink girl). I just ordered this one and can’t wait to try it out. It will be perfect to have on Christmas Day so my guests can choose their own drinks. Also, I just picked up a couple holiday flavors of the Coffee Mate at Target for .08 each. Thanks for helping me save so much money this past year!

Mom- I am not aware of reusable pods.

Nicole. Just wait to open it 🙂 I have a white one sitting here staring at me. I have to write up a giveaway post.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I can always give one to my dad as a gift!

I have the 40oz (?) Keurig (the mid-size)…I have likes & dislikes after about 1 year of use…so I hope this helps people. In addition to the superfast coffee from a K-cup, I like that I can just press a button & have it spit out a cup of hot water for tea. I don’t like that fact that the K-cups do not come in Starbuck’s brand coffee. They do have a wide range of coffees from many manufacturer’s…and even hot chocolate K-Cups. I do like that I was able to purchase a ‘brew cup’ (I think I paid around $10 for it) to brew ground coffee from Starbuck’s/Peet’s. Basically it is a reuseable filter/K-Cup assembly that you put the grounds in, and brew with it instead of a K-cup. The downside is that you have to empty the filter before you brew another cup of that Starbuck’s (or Peet’s or your choice…but it should be course-ground…not off the shelf ground…or the grounds might drip right into your coffee…ewww!) Another downside is that I keep having to add water to the reservoir….I think the 60oz. would have been a better choice for me (lazy to keep refilling!). The thing that is catching my eye about the Tassimo is the espresso drinks….’bold’ coffee is really not a substitute for me I’m finding out. Happy shopping!

Thanks for the idea! I have a ton of Amazon money from all my surveys (some of the sites you recommended!). I am on the fence about the Keurig. I like that the Keurig has the option of making my own K-cups (the reusable filter), and this doesn’t have that option it looks like?

This is an incredible price. I LOVE my tassimo (last year’s Christmas gift) and it is worth every penny. My husband and I like the fact we can each have a cup of whatever coffee/espresso/hot chocolate, etc we want without brewing a whole pot. I think that Tassimo has a much better coffee selection (Starbucks, Gevalia to name a few) which was a big reason I chose it over a Keurig. The Tassimo does not have a reusable filter, because each T-disc comes with a barcode that tells the machine just what beverage it is making. So less water for an espresso than a normal cup of coffee. The full line of coffee is available at tassimodirect.com (free shipping on orders over $30) and Bed, Bath & Beyond has a good selection of Starbucks and Gevalia (you can use your 20% coupon to get it cheaper). I highly recommend this machine.

The $129 already includes the $50 gift card, this item is originally $179. I just tried to puchase it because I have been looking for one for myself..
Nicole says
Cecilia, That’s what I thought too, but when I checked out the price adjusted. You buy the machine at $129, and a gift card at $50 for a total of $179. Then when you check out, it changes back to $129 for the total.
Charlene says
Right. I tested it. The math is exactly what Nicole says. $129-30 MIR- 50 gift card.
Anu says
Charlene – are there any significant differences between Various Tassimo brewers, I checked their site and could not spot much diff. between any of the brewers.
Charlene says
Anu- I really don’t know. I have a new style one for a giveaway and as far as I can tell it is just prettier 🙂 They have colored inserts now so you can change the color of the front. If you want to do a little research, you might check the reviews on Amazon and see what people say about the models. I am lazy and that seems to work for me 🙂
Anu says
I too tested and when I reached the final order page the price changes to $179 – $50 = $139. Boohoo…I got really tempted with the $50 offer and now even $110 (which I guess it’s quite less) seems tough to spent ;). I will wiat for it to come down. Thanks Charlene for posting this. I returned my new Keurig I had purchased this black friday, thank god I did not use it.
P.S.: when I added to cart it showed $129 for the brewer plus a line for $50 gift card.
Charlene says
Oh Anu I don’t think deals like that will last for more than a day. That was over half off. I am sure the price has gone up since. Sorry 🙁
