Rite Aid Updates: Wellness in 2011, Revlon Moneymaker and $5/25 coupons

Here are a whole bunch of Rite Aid updates:

Revlon Beauty Tools are 40% off with a $1 rebate and $2 +Up on 2.
They have emery boards priced at .75
So buy 2 for $1.50 and get $2 +Up back plus the $1 rebate for a $1.50 profit

Or you can try to use the $1/1 Revlon coupon from Target (manufacturer coupon) and pay 0 and get $3 back in +Up and rebate!

(Thanks Coupon Crystal)

Reader Sarah passed along an email from Rite Aid indicating any discount you may have earned in 2010 will continue through 2011.  Points however will reset to 0.

And finally, I received an email from Rite Aid today in regards to the $5/25 coupons that used to be available.

“All legitimate $5 off $25 coupons will be honored at Rite Aid up until the expiration date as marked. Due to some internal changes, they may not scan correctly for a few days, but instructions have been given to stores that these legitimate coupons should be accepted. Please note that they are, as always, limited to one coupon per customer, so multiple versions of the same coupon cannot be accepted.”

I know some of you might have had issues with the coupons not scanning properly lately so there is your answer.  (Note: I am unaware of any Rite Aid coupons available to post other than the $3/20 you can get from watching the ad perk videos.)

At my store they have a big sign that says they no longer take the 5/25 coupons I wonder if this means they will be taking them now?

I am not sure how wellness+ works. Right now my point as of 969 which mean that I need to get 31 more point to get 20% discount, can I get the 20% discount every time I shop when I earn enough 1000 point? or do I have to start allover again next year?
    Please help and thank you,
    Kim

Oh Kim I am so lame I probably have 0 points. I bet someone else knows. From the memo I saw, it appears you will want to hurry and get those 31 points before the end of the year. Then you hit 20% and that will stick with you through 2011. If you don’t get the points, you keep your 10% (?) and your points are all lost.

Jessica, I don’t have a memo to pass along just the email from the PR Rep that sends blogger updates. I would call corp though if you have a valid coupon because that was issued by the marketing department at RA just today.

    Kimaly,
Once you reach 1000pts in 2010, you get the 20% off the regular price for the duration of 2010, and for 2011. However, your points reset to zero, and you have all of 2011 to accrue another 1000pts to maintain your 20% for 2012.
    Is that clear?

Thank Charlene and Jennifer, for taking your time explained this to me. I appreciated, look like I have earn 31 more points before 1/1/2011.

My Rite Aid refused the Revlon coupon because it had a Target logo. The cashier said they would not be reimbursed, which I think they would, but ymmv with that one.

I am so excited to be keeping my 20% off status through 2011! I’ve started buying milk and stuff like that there because it’s cheaper than anywhere else when that 20% comes off!

One question… I’ve already reached my maximum for the Gift of Savings program, and yet I continue to keep spending money at Rite Aid, so does anyone know if I can give my extra receipts to a friend to use? Or is that unethical? Is it even possible or are they linked to my wellness card? Thanks for answering this!

Melissa, I am almost certain they are not linked to your card because I have heard of people taking receipts from the parking lot to enter online and digging in the garbage and such 🙂

yeah you can use other people receipts because I already reached mine so now I am giving them to my grandma to use.

Christy, I’m sorry Rite Aid didn’t accept the coupons. I’m very fortunate and have amazing cashier and managers at my store. They even take the Walgreens Register Rewards. As long as it is manufacturer (starts with a 5 or 9) they will accept it. I even had them double check on the RR and they said they will certainly get reimbursed for it.

In the same transaction, can i use $4 off $20 purchase (from nov videos exp 12/25) and $3 off $20 purchase (from dec videos) plus a few manufacturers coupons?

  14. Charlene says

    12/17/2010 at 2:25 PM

Cathy if you click on Drugstore 101 at the top of the blog you will find the coupon policy which has very clear information on exactly what you can use.

Thanks for replying Charlene. That’s pretty funny. Mom mom will appreciate the receipts, I’m sure. I just printed my Gift of Savings “coupon” today and it’s good through 4/30/11! I have to use it all at once, though. That’s going to be hard with all the coupons I use.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Revlon deal – got to take advantage of it!

  17. Lori says

My first thought on spending it all at once was – That Sucks. Still, it is free money, and with the decline of the $5/25 coupons, it will be easier to spend $20 in one transaction.

There is also a $3 Revlon RA coupon. It’s a PDF, and I know how we all feel about that right now, but it worked for me when I tried to use it:

So I just figured out that I need about 200 points by 12/31 to earn Gold status. Anyone know if it works out to be 1=$1 spent? And any ideas of how to earn extra points? I’d sure like to get 20% off for next year.
