If you still have the free Video on Demand credits, there is a really great promotion running on Amazon.  If you rent a select title from Video on Demand, they will send you a coupon code for $4 to redeem to purchase that same title.

It can work out to be a fantastic deal, for example:

You can rent Toy Story 3 for $.99 and Amazon has the DVD priced at $9.99.  So the math works like this:

Rent the title from Video on Demand for .99
Get an email from Amazon with a $4 off coupon code

Buy Toy Story 3 for $9.99
Use $4 off coupon
Final Price: $5.99!

If you get the $5 free Video on Demand credit, the movie rental is free, otherwise you will pay $6.98 total. Shipping is free with Prime or a $25 order.

There are several movies included in the promotion, here are a few more highlights I found:

Tale of Despereaux is $8.49, rent from Video on Demand for $2.99 and get a $4 off coupon. So if you use that free credit from Amazon to pay for the rental, you pay just $4.49 for the DVD!

Christmas Carol is priced at $14.49, rent from Video on Demand for .99 and pay $10.49 for the DVD.

Inception is $9.99, rent from Video on Demand for $3.99 and get the DVD for just $5.99!

If this wasn’t good enough, once you purchase your movie almost all these titles will also qualify you for another $5 Video on Demand credit!  (There is only one per account.)

*The way Video on Demand works is that you just click to rent a movie and you can watch it from your computer.  If you have the right cables, you can also connect it to your TV to play from your computer.  I watch movies from Amazon all the time while I am cooking, cleaning, folding laundry, on trips etc.. etc..

You will typically have exactly 24-48 hours to watch the movie from the point you rent it and there are no additional fees.  Once the 24 hrs has expired the movie is no longer available to watch.

Thanks SD!

I know some people may be pumpkined out from the holidays but there is a fantastic deal right now on organic canned pumpkin from Amazon.

I actually love Pumpkin for muffins, bread, pancakes, oatmeal etc.. and we use it year round.

Amazon is offering 12 cans in 15oz size for $10.70 and shipping is free.  So that works out to .85 per can!

To get this deal just head over to Amazon.

You need to select the subscribe and save option on the right side (not add to to cart).

Then once your order arrives just go back into your account and cancel the subscribe and save option.  It is very simple to do and you have no further obligations.

If you don’t want to bother with subscribe and save, the price is $12 and you will need Prime for free shipping.

Thanks Katie!

Just a quick note that if you are out shopping in the next few days, you might be on the lookout for clearance sales on holiday cookies and holiday flavored Coffeemate.

I found Coffeemate marked down to $1.21 at Target in the seasonal varieties.
You might grab the coupons that are available right now and see if you get lucky:

$1/2 Nestle Coffee-Mate Liquid Creamers, exp. 3-31 (ALL YOU Dec ‘10)
$0.55/1 Nestle Coffee-mate Liquid, exp. 2-6-11 (RP 11/14/10 #2)
$0.75/1 Coffee-mate Liquid or Powder Creamer Product printable
Or use $1/1 printable from Facebook

And the holiday cookies from Pillsbury will likely go on quick sale clearance as well.

There is a $1/2 Pillsbury Cookies coupon
or $1/2 Pillsbury Holiday Cookies coupon

According to the drugstores, it is already January!

Click below to see the complete list of ad perk coupons that are starting today. Most of these will be valid until February 26th but you must watch them before January 22nd.

The $1 off any item coupon is available but I am not seeing a coupon off your total price this month (like a $5/$25). If anyone else does see it let me know.

There is one tricky one available this month. There is a $4/20 Beauty items coupon but the only way to get the coupon is to actually watch all the videos in the beauty section. It looks like 15 credits are needed to get the coupon- so make sure you don’t miss out on that one!
