Kmart Super Doubles 12/5-12/7

Kmart is having a Super Doubles event once again from 12/5-12/7.

They are offering double coupons up to $2 in value and there is a limit of 5 total coupons they will double.

They also require you to have a Shop Your Way Rewards card which is free. BUT the sneaky part is you need to spend $25 pre-coupon.  So if you can only double (5) $2 coupons, that means you will pay at least $5 out of pocket plus tax.

According to the email I received, all stores seem to be participating in the event except a handful of stores in NJ will have a different date.

Here are a few tips if you are new to Kmart Doubles:

*These promotions are not well communicated to store level.  If you decide to brave the store, you might take the number to Kmart customer service with you just in case you run into any problems: 866.Kmart4U.

*They do not offer any overage on merchandise.  If you find an item for $3.88 and have a $2 coupon, your total will be just the tax.  They will not give you .12 in overage.

*Kmart tends to carry low levels of inventory. If there is something you really want, I would suggest shopping early.

*You can click on the coupon database on the right side of the blog ——->
and find any coupons you might need. You can click on advance search and just search for $2 coupons or type in brands and search etc..

Thanks Barb and Chi Chi!

Thanks for letting us know, but really… Whatever! If I have to buy $25 dollars worth of stuff just so that they double a measly 5 coupons, it isn’t worth it. I might consider buying $25 of stuff then returning it if there were some really good deals, like on Aveeno baby wash, but I’m betting there aren’t. Not worth the bad customer service, high prices, and crummy stores.

Isabeau- I am deep into Walgreens at the moment so I didn’t look very carefully. I didn’t see the $25 requirement this time around. Did you see it?

I received this email this morning and part of the fine print is that you also have to spend at least $25 to have your coupons super doubled. I don’t know if this is before or after coupons, but because it is KMart it may be before coupons.

After the last attempt at this, I gave up. K-Mart has terrible customer service, non-competitive pricing, and their stores also feel dingy to me. I know they have revamped their big city stores (like Chicago), but I just have no desire to shop there ever again!

Well I tryed doing the super doubles & it was a mager BUST! Cashier told me the Rewards Card program was down on the computers, I attemted to buy $40 worth of items before coupons, cashier manualy keyed in to double the coupons since the rewards cards weren’t working only 2 coupons could double she couldn’t get any more to double, then the manager came over told me that because I didn’t buy $25 worth of grocery or drug store items the coupons are not going to double. I was so mad I took my coupons & left! NO MORE KMART FOR ME!!!!!

I called customer service yesterday to complain about my double couponing disaster and ended up being that the manager from the store called me sad she was wrong because over kmarts pa system they where advertizing the double coupon event and only stated you have to buy $25 dollars worth of products, didn’t say anything about grocery or drugstore items and she was reading the fine print in the ad which talks adout grocery items. It’s so sad that things have gotten so limted and unclear about counpon event. Manager said she allow me to double my coupons and give me a $10 gift card for all the greif. I will go back to do this but not sure if I will go back again.
