In My Mailbox Today…

I have a love hate relationship with my mailman.  Sometimes he doesn’t give me the Safeway ads on Tuesday and I have to wait until 9pm to start the matchups.  So some weeks he gets nasty looks from me. Today was a love day though because he brought all sorts of great stuff!

  • I got two magazines- (the Family Circle is my shameless plug for MFA because I am mentioned in it this month- yeah!)
  • That little green booklet is from Target and there is a coupon on the back for a $15 gift card when you spend $150.  I hope some of you get it too!  I haven’t been grocery shopping in basically 4 weeks due to our kitchen renovation so I am due for a big trip soon.
  • The FREE Juno Baby DVD (both of my girls love these DVDs)- such an awesome freebie!  That is a full length DVD.
  • 2 of the Silly Bands bracelets– I paid $1.98 total including shipping but some of you got them even cheaper. (One of these will go on a Christmas gift and one is for Toys 4 Tots)
  • 4 Burt’s Bees lip balm- I recently fell in love with this stuff and I used my free $15 code to the Natural Store to get 4 of them for free.  I paid $4.95 shipping.
  • Philosophy Hope in a Jar and Aveda Shampoo- I used the $50 Fragrance.net voucher to get these.  I paid $20 for the voucher after a $5 Groupon credit. They also gave me a free nail file.  My birthday happens to be in 2 weeks so I am super happy to have nice moisturizer and shampoo as a little treat!

So not a lot of free stuff but some really fantastic deals and all I had to do was walk to the mailbox! Did anyone else have a great mailbox day today?

I had a great mailbox day yesterday that I am about to post about. I also got my Children’s Place order today!

I got my $20 off naturalstore code in my email today and am currently deciding what to buy. I think it will be vitamins for my toddler b/c that is something I hate spending money on b/c the brand we use doesn’t ever have coupons or go on sale!

I got the free uncrustables coupon ( they accidentally put 2 coupons in my envelope :D) starbucks via sample (wow 4 packets) a zippo lighter, a dream catcher (and some other goodies in the package) and Redbook. Loved the mailman for the freebies but I didn’t get my ads 🙁

Well I think they have free shipping on a $25 order for the first order. So you might spend $5 and get $25 free.

oooh, man! I didn’t see that. I ended up spending $7.50 ($4.95 of that for shipping) for 2 bottles of vitamins. But I saved $27 (the vits were 25% off on top of my free $20), so it’s all good ;D

I just got my $20 off of a $20 purchase to the Natural Store this evening too–so excited! Thanks for posting about that. I got 5 boxes of Stretch Island Fruit snacks for $5.44 w/shipping. Also was able to use my 4 $5 Hallmark coupons from magazines + my $10 off $10 coupon for a new mom–I was so surprised that they let me use them all in one transaction. I got 7 boxes (full sized) of chocolate that were on sale + 2 small boxes of peppermint bark for just $3.47 after the coupons–I had $63 worth of chocolate before coups. Now all the teachers are taken care of. Thanks for helping me save so much $$$!

well today i got a seventeen magazine (that i didnt order, hu?), a few pamper and other baby coupons (too bad i dont have any children), an energy sample, and my energy bill (blaa).
my mailman is always nice and tries to always make conversations short to get out of the sunshine and finish his route. i think he thinks i’m a shopaholic rich girl cus he always comments that i buy and order too much stuff for him to deliver. hmm little does he know they’re all freebies.

Congrats on your shout out in Family Circle! You deserve it! Your blog really is my favorite one out there. I used to read through 10+ blogs a day, but I was just reading the same deals posted over and over. I love that you have deals before a lot of others and your matchups catch all sorts of thing that the others miss. Thanks for all you do for us! 🙂

Thanks for the great tips for all the free/inexpensive items we get. My husband is a mail carrier and they are constantly checked on with scan points to make sure they meeting the (often unrealistic -my opinion) time requirements. The days of stopping to talk to customers in a relaxed way along the route are no longer.

I am not interested in chatting and taking his time. I just want my grocery store ads to be delivered. 🙂

Some people really are offended that they can’t stop to talk. As far as the ads , they deliver what they are required to–1st class mail, and the rest as much as the can to “get done on time” and by the required delivery date for that type of mail-which I do understand doesn’t help you. (Just gotta support my husband because he really does put forth every effort to help his customers!) Anyway, I really enjoy your posts and all of the great deals you help us get.
