I did this a couple weeks ago and wouldn’t make a special trip for them. There were only a few things to choose from. I got a jewelry box and a pirate ship. Both are for ages 8+ so I’ll be saving them a while.

I went today and they had 2 left. They were reg. priced at 2.99. I got a jewelery box and a pirate ship. I am going to through the jewelery box one in with my gift to my niece for her birthday. Nothing real exciting but she might enjoy making it.

I did this a few weeks ago too and I got 2 animals. I would like to find the pirate ship and other items, so I may have to track those down! Mine actually let me get a bunch of candy with it and basically get the overage. I would recommend getting 4 in one transaction (if they have that many left) if you don’t want any sass 😉 I know I didn’t get any, but I could see if you only got them, you would definitely run into problems because they cannot adjust the coupons down.

I got some cute little critters (a monkey & a cat, I think). I’m not sure how to send you a pic, but I’ll take one tomorrow & send it to you if I figure it out!

I made a trip for these. My store had quite a collection. They even had just the plain foam boards for I think 4.99. My 2 yearold is potty training, and she LOVES picking them from her treasure box. It’s a good, bonding experience. They’d be great for rewards, stockings, etc. In my opinion, I think it’s worth it for a trip.

If you’re going anyway, grab them. Can’t beat a moneymaker. But I wouldn’t make a special trip just for two of these.

At my Rite Aid they were 7.99, I had to get them because I had the kids with me and they were excited, so I basically got one free but I don’t think I would buy them again at that price.

Beth is there a chance you bought the wrong ones? I have heard these are $2 just about everywhere. Maybe there are fancier versions of them that you got?

Beware the animal kits. The kids find it hard to stick the pieces on the dome closely. My son’s cat is in pieces now from the foam pieces popping off. I don’t know if it is because he put them too close together and the friction is pulling them out?
