Two Free Audiobook Downloads from Amazon

This is a neat offer from Amazon!  I wish I had seen this last week when I spent 5 hours in my car!

You can get a free trial offer for 30 days of Audible.com, which is a part of Amazon that offers audiobooks to download to your mobile phone or iPod.  You can get 2 free book downloads with your trial and you just need to cancel if you don’t care to continue with the service.

I am going to try this out.  I just have not had time to read books- well since my children were born essentially- and I love having a book I can listen to on walks or while I am cleaning the house or cooking

You can get more information about Audible.com here.

Your local library may have audiobook downloads available, even to portable devices. Ours just added this service:

Some libraries will join up across the state and offer downloadable books and music in multiple formats, for your kindle or your ipod, for example. This is a great way to get free books online, but be sure to delete them when you agree to your end date. Also check your local libraries as some have books pre-loaded onto mp3 players, just add headphones and go. Very handy!

Having said that… this is a great deal! No waiting for the latest book and there are a couple (at least) that I’m jonesin’ for that are not avalible for free yet. I love audible.com and highly recommend it. Thanks for the heads up!!

Kris- I have heard about the library thing but to be honest I just need stuff that is fast and easy most days 😛 I will check it out at some point. I heard you can get free books for Kindle and that is on my Christmas list this year. I didn’t even know John Grisham had a new book out so I am totally in with this offer.
