I checked about 10 items randomly before posting and they were all there. I figured most stuff would go quick!
My problem wasn’t even that. Their “free shipping” that they’re advertising everywhere requires you to sign-up for a 30-day trial where afterward they’ll charge you $79 if you don’t cancel. And the problem is.. it doesn’t matter if I cancel that kind of stuff on time – I always get charged, I always end up calling the company and despite talking to them and being reassured my money back, I never get a refund. Then it goes to my bank and it’s a big mess… normally I’m just out the money. After it happened to me the first dozen times with other companies, I finally decided that “we’ll charge after your trial” stuff just wasn’t for me! =) I was so frustrated though after getting over $49 worth of stuff in my cart and then not being able to qualify for the free shipping. TRU is off my list today. =(
I was a little upset when I found out the “free shipping” offer came with a catch. I didn’t end up checking out on the stuff in my cart. No TRU for me today.
Yeah the shop runner thing? I am not a fan of that one.
Sorry for the double post! My first one didn’t show up so I just thought it disappeared =P I’m still almost tempted to sign-up for the service just to get my beautiful girls the stuff I picked out.. I’m just not sure I want to deal with the hassle if they charge my card after cancellation. If anyone has had any experiences successfully canceling, I’d feel more reassured. =)
Jen- I don’t like it because I know I’ll forget to cancel. If it is a substantial amount I guess you could try it and cancel like Monday. If it is not a lot- like shipping was $5 for me. I probably would skip it.
I bit the bullet for almost $10 in shipping. I asked my DH what he thought and I told him about the sign-up blah blah blah and he says, “I’ll give you the $10. Order it.” LOL
I was going to say the same thing 😉 Sometimes I look at my time as more important- so just think about that not the extra money you spent. You probably bought yourself freedom from a few hours of hassle.
