Toy Story 3 Round Up!!

Well today is the big release day for Toy Story 3!  I feel like I have posted about a million deals for this movie- so here are the ones I think are best.  Please let us know what you have planned.

FOR THE DVD:

*Remember the printable coupon is for the Blu ray combo pack not the DVD.  So there is no coupon available for just the DVD right now.

Rite Aid:

Toy Story 3 $19.99
Buy 1 small filler- like .25 candy
use $4/20 ad per coupon
Get $3 +Up
Final Price: $12.99

Walgreens:

ToyStory 3 DVD $17.99
Get ToyStory Buddy Pack or Action Figure with purchase of DVD ($11.99 value)

{Deal idea}

Buy 2 Vicks Sinex at $5 each
Use (2) $4/1 coupons from 10/10 P&G
Pay $2 and get a $5 RR back

Buy 1 Toy Story at $17.99
Get Free Buddy pack
Use $5/1 RR from prior transaction
Final Price: $12.99
So you spent $14.99 for all that.

CVS:

Spend $25 in P&G items and get the DVD for $3.99
You can see a deal idea here.

iTunes:

Go to iTunes and pay $9.99 for the download (Thanks Shira!)

Or just order from Amazon for $15.99 and get a $4 credit back toward Video on Demand!

BLU RAY COMBO PACK:

TARGET:

Toy Story 3 Blu Ray Combo pack $24.99
Use $8/1 Toy Story 3 printable coupon
Final Price: $16.99
(This includes a Blu ray and a regular DVD)

Toy Story 3 4-Disk Set plus Buzz Lightyear DVD holder $32.99
Use $8/1 printable
Final Price: $24.99

TOYS R US:

Toy Story 3 Blu Ray Combo pack $34.99 and get a free wall clock with purchase ($14.99 value)
Use $8/1 printable
Final price: $29.99

There are 2 overlapping promotions as well. It seems you get a free popcorn tin with $30 Toy Story purchase (page 54).

Buy 1 Toy Story 3 Blu Ray $34.99
Get Free Clock with purchase
Get Free Popcorn tin
use $8/1 printable
Final Price: $26.99 for all

The second promotion is a $10 gift card back when you spend $40 on Disney Movies.  Now I don’t know how that will work since last time the gift cards would not allow coupons to be used as well.

One other idea if you are also in the market for Cars Mater’s Tall Tales DVD.  That also has a free carrying case when you spend $30 in Cars items (page 55).  You will want to buy the movies together because there is also a $3 off Toy Story and a second movie coupon in the little coupon book that came with Beauty and the Beast (my store has these on display by the movies.)

Buy 1 Toy Story 3 Blu Ray $34.99
Buy 1 Cars Blu Ray at $24.99
Buy 1 Leapfrog Tag Cars Book $9.99
Use $8/1 Toy Story 3 coupon
Use $3/1 Leapfrog coupon
Use $3 off Toy Story 3 and a second movie coupon (if you have it)
Final Price: $55.97 for 2 Movies, 1 tag book, a free Cars carrying case, a free wall clock, and a free popcorn tin. (Whew!)  Plus you could possibly get a $10 gift card back.

*As always you never know what will actually happen at Toys R Us- so good luck!

UPDATE: I called my Toys R Us store and was told I can get the $5 refunded if I bring my preorder slip and receipt into the store.  You might consider calling your store and asking if they will do the same if you also did a preorder!

Does Toys r us price match and allow a coupon on that? I put the $5 deposit on the movie and I want to use it.
    Lisa

  2. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 7:02 AM

Typically they do not price match but you can certainly ask.

  3. Kelly says

    11/02/2010 at 7:17 AM

Where did you see the price of $29.99 at TRU? I only see it for $34.99

  4. Shira says

    11/02/2010 at 7:20 AM

Don”t forget $9.99 to download it from iTunes! Don’t even have to use a coupon for that price.

  5. julie says

    11/02/2010 at 7:20 AM

Do you know if we can use the $5 deposit on the deals you have listed? I guess I have been a little spoiled with the last Disney DVD releases being less than $5 after all the rebates! 🙂

  6. Stephanie says

    11/02/2010 at 7:21 AM

I was wondering where you heard the price at TRU would be $29.99, all the reports I have heard has it at $34.99, so $29.99 would be great!

  7. Cher says

    11/02/2010 at 7:23 AM

Toys R Us has the price listed for the Blu Ray combo as $34.99 not $29.99. (Both in their ad and on their website.)

  8. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 7:29 AM

Oh no!! I have no idea where I got $29.99. That stinks!

  9. jen says

    11/02/2010 at 7:38 AM

    What about Kmart?
I think it’s going to be $29.99 and if you buy a doll you save $10- instantly. Anyone do this deal yet? I was going to try at lunch to see how it plays out

  10. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 7:40 AM

Jen, I didn’t list every single store just the ones most seem interested in. Let us know how it goes at Kmart!

  11. Lisa says

    11/02/2010 at 8:15 AM

I tried to find the Sinex at Walgreens but it wasn’t part of the 2 for $5 deal. Bummer!

  12. Karen Han says

    11/02/2010 at 8:32 AM

I used the 9.99 and got it last night. 🙂

  13. Reynee says

    11/02/2010 at 9:36 AM

I just got back from Toys R Us where I picked up Toy Story 3 blue ray combo, wall clock, popcorn tin, and another Disney movie for $19.99. Used my $5 preorder card, $8 off coupon, and the $3 off from the TRU booklet that came with Beauty and the Beast. I paid $41 and got back the $10 gift card. Not the best deal, but I can’t really complain since I’ve been getting all the other new releases for so cheap.

  14. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 9:40 AM

Lisa- the Sinex IS part of the 2 for $10 deal and I am certain it works because I did it yesterday. Some stores do not have it marked- which is what I said in the post about this deal:

    http://myfrugaladventures.com/2010/10/walgreens-updates-vicks-olay-moneymakers/

You can just ask the cashier for a price check to verify it is indeed priced at $5 each. You should get your RR for $5 back when you buy 2.

    11/02/2010 at 9:51 AM

I went to our Walgreens early this morning and they tell me nobody knows where the dvd’s are at but one employee remembers seeing them at one time…..arrgghhh
And yes, the sinex DOES work, I did it too thanks to this wonderful site

  16. Cali says

    11/02/2010 at 9:54 AM

Does anyone know if Dumbo or Fantasia are available for preorder? I’m hoping we can preorder something and pick up TS3 like we did with Beauty and the Beast.

  17. MMcKenna says

    11/02/2010 at 10:02 AM

I did the deal at TRU as well using the $8 coupon and the $3 coupon from the booklet there. I also bought another Disney DVD to get the $10 gc. I got the wall clock and they were out of the popcorn tin. Another blog suggested getting the Mater Tales and getting the free Cars carrying case if you also grab a $5 Cars item (to get $30 worth of Cars stuff). I saw Disneys “Oceans” for $19.99 (use the $6 coupon in the Booklet to make it $13.99, get the $10 gc for buying both). I got the Great Muppet Caper because it was $14.99 and something we were missing from our collection.

I paid $29.09 for the Toy Story 3 Blu-ray, Muppet DVD, and wall clock. I got the $10 gc back. They were out of stock on the pop corn tin but they said I can check back with my receipt.

  18. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 10:04 AM

MMcKenna- I posted a scenario with the Cars DVD and carrying case on this post 🙂

  19. Sherrell DaSilva says

    11/02/2010 at 10:14 AM

FYI if you rent TS3 from Redbox (hopefully with a free code) then you can get a $5 coupon for the DVD OR blu ray.

  20. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 10:21 AM

Sherrell- did they post that anywhere? That would make a GREAT deal at CVS especially.

  21. Sherrell DaSilva says

    11/02/2010 at 10:23 AM

It was in the new releases email that they send me every Tuesday. It was in a smaller print right below the picture of TS3.

It didn’t say how you get the coupon though but I assume they’re going to email them to the address that you used to rent the movie.

  22. Sarah H. says

    11/02/2010 at 10:28 AM

I did the CVS deal this morning:
Transaction #1: Olay Body Wash, Trial Size Secret, Oral B Kids Power Toothbrush Pd $6.66, got $5 ECB
Transaction #2: Toy Story 3, Charmin, Bounty, 2 Crest, 3 Dawn
Used $6 ECB from Trans #1 and $6 ECB from last week. Pd $19.52
And I’m planning to get the $5 Campbells Rebate.
    Yeah!!!

  23. bree says

    11/02/2010 at 10:30 AM

i got that same message in my email from redbox just now-but it says while supplies last and it doesn’t say anything else. i am going to rent it today and just see if it sends me an email with the coupon or what happens.

  24. Sherrell DaSilva says

    11/02/2010 at 10:31 AM

There is also a $10 coupon for Fantasia when you upgrade it from VHS. Is there the promo where you get $10 off when you preorder another movie? Can you preorder Fantasia?

I’m trying to come up with a better deal at TRU. They won’t let me return my preorder amount and we don’t have kids so leapster stuff doesn’t do me any good. I was just going to bring the clock to work and put it in the christmas box when we start that. We do love our movies though and but don’t have many Disney ones including Fantasia or Cars.

  25. Sherrell DaSilva says

    11/02/2010 at 10:41 AM

    Another question, sorry!

Did anyone use the $10 gc wyb $75 worth from the big book in this past Sunday’s paper? Most of your scenarios would be close to $75 and it may be worth adding a little if you could get two $10 gc’s back.

  26. Leanne says

    11/02/2010 at 10:49 AM

Safeway has a deal in the flyer that came out over the weekend similar to the Beauty and the Beast deal:

When you BUY Toy Story 3 on Blu-ray® Combo Pack or DVD with Card, get a free Toy Story Sports Bottle, KRAFT Shapes Macaroni and Cheese (Any fun shapes), KEEBLER® Town House Crackers (9.5 to 16 oz. Selected Varieties), and DASANI® Water (8-pk.). Offer Valid 11/2/10 – 11/9/10.

The $29.99 price at TRU may have come from applying the $5 pre order amount … $34.99 – $5 = $29.99

  28. alice says

    11/02/2010 at 11:36 AM

I had a major rush at TRU! I’ll try to explain it the best I can.

    Purchased:
    2 TS3 Blu-Ray – $69.98
    1 Mater Tales Blu-Ray – $24.99
    1 Cars monster truck toy – $7.99
1 LeapFrog Book (for Tag) Cat in the Hat – $9.99

    Received for Free:
    2 Wall Clocks
    2 Popcorn Tins
    1 Mater car carrier
$10 gc for Disney movie purchase
$10 gc for purchase over $75 (on the back of the TRU toy book/catalog)

    Used:
$10 off $100 Purchase (peelie off the copy of the TRU toy book/catalog
    $10 off for prepurchase of 2 TS3
    $16 off for manu. coupons
    $3 off for Mater Tales
$3 off for LeapFrog tag books

    all for a pre-tax total of $70.96!

Still a lot of money but happy about what I received. Thanks Charlene for all you do. Now, if I could only get the same rush from cleaning my house. 😉

  29. Charlene says

    11/02/2010 at 11:40 AM

Ha! Alice nice job! Maybe you should come and clean mine and see if that makes a difference.

  30. Sherrell DaSilva says

    11/02/2010 at 11:44 AM

Alice, where did you get the $10 off $100 peelie from? My great book of toys that was in my sunday newspaper has the coupon for a $10 gift card when you buy $75 worth of stuff on the back but I got numerous papers/books and none had anything on the cover.

  31. jen says

    11/02/2010 at 11:57 AM

I did go to Kmart and while it wasn’t the best scenario, it worked for what I wanted.
    29.99 less $8- coupon
1 Buzz Light year talking doll for 13.99 then save $10- intanstly on movie for buying doll. Total with tax $27.49
Also, the talking toys are buy 2 get one free, so if you wanted you could grab 2 more for a little over the price of 1

  32. Madison says

    11/02/2010 at 12:46 PM

If your total pre tax is $39.98 for Disney movies, will you still be able to get the $10 gift card?? Or does you total have to be $40 or above…

  33. alice says

    11/02/2010 at 1:00 PM

    @ Sherrell DaSilva,
We were mailed a Toy Book from TRU with the peelie for $10 off $100 on the front cover. Maybe they mail it to Reward Card members?

  34. Lyndi says

    11/02/2010 at 1:31 PM

I just did the Safeway Blu-Ray Combo deal – $29.99 – $8 printable. Get 8 pk Dasani water, Toy Story 3 sport bottle, Keebler TownHouse crackers, 1 box of Mac n Cheese FREE.

  35. Tara says

    11/02/2010 at 5:39 PM

I also was able to stack the TRU coupon for $10 GC off $75 with the $10 GC for buying $40 worth of Disney flicks, and use my $8 manu coupon as well. I have the $10 off $100 peelie from the big book that was mailed to my house, but I will be saving that for when the Kinect comes out Thursday:) The $10 off $75 came from the big book in my sunday paper, but I also got one in my rewards coupon booklet that was sent out this week. You should see, if you are a rewards member, about getting the coupon from the website ($10 off $75 if you did not receive). There was no hassle whatsoever, because the coupon reads differently than the automatic $10 GC for the disney deal, so they could not argue with me!

  36. Rebecca H. says

    11/02/2010 at 8:12 PM

    I did the TRU deal.

    1 TS3 – 34.99
1 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally – $17.99
    1 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo-Choo Express – $17.99
    1 TS3 Wall Clock
    1 TS3 Popcorn Tin
$10 gift card for $40 purchase of Disney movies

    Coupons used:
    $5 preorder for TS3
    $8 off TS3
$8 off MMCH Road Rally and MMCH choo-choo express
$6 off MMCH Road Rally and one other MMCH movies (TRU Disney DVD Booklet)

    Total OOP – $40.89

To to shabby seeing the movie alone cost $34.99! :o)

  37. Blyth says

    11/02/2010 at 9:35 PM

I was at my TRU at opening, and they only had received 30 popcorn tins in. I grabbed 4 of the pop corn tins and 4 of the wall clocks, along with the Blue Ray movies. (I had pre-ordered 3 movies) I had to pay for 3 movies in 3 different transactions to get all of the giftcards, etc. After trying to figure out the best deal possible for the last transaction, I was able to use the $8.00 off movie, the $10.00 gift card for spending $100.00 from TRU booklet mailer, the $6.00 off from buying another Disney movie, the $10.00 off from spending $75.00 and the $10.00 gift card. I had no beeps or glitches. In fact the girl was so nice, I had mentioned that I had previously bought the Thomas the Tank laser toy, that is now on sale and part of the Thomas promo, and she asked if I had the receipt with me. I answered yes, and she offered to return the toy with just the receipt, so that I could buy a small filler Thomas toy, to make up the difference of the amount needed to get the free backpack roller. I re-purchased the same item, now on sale, and got the free backpack. This was all added into my scenario listed above.

I had no problem getting a refund for the pre-order slip at TRU yesterday. I just want the movie in the Blu Ray combo pack. Hmmm…I guess I’m still hoping another great deal will show up out of the blue!

  39. christine says

    11/04/2010 at 12:13 PM

question: is the rebate for the single dvd as well as the combo pack. i called customer service on the campbells rebate, and there was some confusion on what the rebate was for. it says or dvd on the form. they are saying it’s for combo packs only. is there a dvd only combo pack? i know this sounds stupid, but the guy was adamant that it had to be a combo pack blue ray or combo pack dvd. is there even a combo pack dvd out besides the blue ray? he sounded confused, so i don’t know how accurate what he told me is.

  40. Charlene says

    11/04/2010 at 12:34 PM

I think he is just wrong. The rebate form says “Blu Ray Combo pack or DVD” there is only one offering of a DVD and that is the one at all the drugstores on sale. There are 3 basic choices for the movie:
Blu Ray, Blu Ray Combo Pack or DVD. The rebate should be for the combo pack or the DVD and if it does not work for the DVD they have falsely advertised the promotion and will be in for a lot of commotion.

  41. christine says

    11/04/2010 at 12:52 PM

thank you charlene. i am submitting for both the rayovac rebate and the campbells rebate. i read the form the way you did. if i don’t get it then i’ll definitely be complaining to campbells. unfortunately, i think sometimes we know wording and policy better than the people who are helping us. by the way both places told me that the purchases don’t have to be together or at the same store. in other words you could buy the soup one place, and the dvd at another. hope this is correct.
