Safeway Deals 12/1-12/7

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

*Safeway has a new savings program called Just for U. You can read all about Just for U here. This has not rolled out in every city quite yet- but will be soon!

There are several promotions this week:

::Spend $75 or more in a single trip and get $10 back for your next purchase. This is available from 12/1-12/7 and excludes the standard alcohol, tobacco, liquid dairy items, stamps, gift cards etc… The fine print states the $75 is calculated after all club card and other discounts and savings. That should not apply to manufacturer coupons but it might apply to any store coupons. In the past, these have printed before all coupons but we won’t know for sure on this until someone tries it. You can earn unlimited rewards during the week but there is a limit of (1) $10 reward per transaction.

::Buy $150 in select gift cards and get $15 catalina for your next shopping trip. The catalina must be used within 7 days and is for a purchase of $50 or more.  Available through 12/4.  Excludes Safeway cards.

::Buy a Starbucks gift pack (coffee mug and a lb of coffee) for $19.95 and get a free Grande beverage.

::Buy $60 in iTunes gift cards and get a $15 catalina for your next transaction
*Catalina expires within 14 days and you only get one per transaction.

    My Safeway said they’re offering a cat starting today of buy 5 Kellog cereals and recieve a free movie pass? It starts today, so I havn’t tried it yet.

    The Safeway Just For U site has not been working for me for the last 2 days. I swear I am about to give up on Safeway altogether.

    My Just For U worked great for about 2 weeks, and now it never works. Annoying! If you go to customer service, they’ll refund you what you’re owed, but its still a hassel. I just got off the phone with Safeway and hopefully things will get straightened out. Here’s crossing my fingers for the trip I’m headed out to make!

    On another note, I couldn’t get the Wonderful Pistachios coupon to print. It just kept giving me an error. Anyone else have this problem, or is it a broken link?

    Sarah have you printed Smart Source coupons before? The link should be working but you might need to install the coupon printer.

    if I go straight to smartsource.com, then I can print it no problem, but I know if I go through your link, you get the 2 cents or whatever it is for printing through your link, and that link isn’t working for me for some reason??

    Our Safeway stated that it is offering a free movie ticket when you purchase any five Kelloggs cereal. I bought five today, but the catalina that printed out stated they were experiencing technical difficulties and couldn’t print the e-movie cash ticket. I’m not sure if this is happening everywhere or only in our Safeway.

    I did purchase the $60 in iTunes & another $90 in other cards. Both $15 catalinas did print for me!! Careful when you go to use them, one of mine rang up as .01 instead of $15, luckily I caught it before I left the store & they gave me $15 back.

    I spent over $75 and did not get the $10 cat, is it possibly a regional one? I am in Vancouver, Wa & I don’t see anything in our ads about it 🙁 I did get a $2 cat for buying 4 kellogg’s & wish I would’ve know about the free movie ticket when you buy 5, cuz I would have grabbed one more…darn!!

    Hollie- the movie ticket wasn’t in my ad so I am not sure about that. The $10 for $75 was the front page of my ad.

    And now that I have finished my shopping I do have a couple of updates, Banquet Chicken Nuggets (24 oz) are 4.99 and are part of a buy 3 save $3 promo, making them 3.99 each, and there is a MC from the Thanksgiving coupon book for 2.00/1, making them 1.99 a bag.

    I did check the Tyson ones at my Target they were 2.50 for the 11 oz (and I think 5.99 for the bag) making them 1.50 after coupon but that is for the small box. So bottom line if you need nuggets, I think Safeway is the place to be!

    And last but not least, I bought 5 boxes of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran today, and received the free movie ticket as well as a catalina for $2 off your next purchase of OJ and I had a coupon from the coupon center loaded on my card for Simply Orange Juice for 1.99 so I went back and got that for free.

    Thank you so much for the Print List feature! It saved me so much time today.

    I did the “buy $75 get a catalina for $10” and let me tell you it was a fiasco! The $75 has strict restrictions on what you can buy and the total is AFTER all coupons. I used the $15 catalina from the gift card purchase and it lowered my amount down too far. Plus make sure your total is more than $75 if you are buying any kind of “Liquid Dairy or Dairy Substitutes” as it is an exception. Customer service just loved me today. So glad I was in my mom’s Safeway instead of my usual. My usual Safeway are really mean and unhelpful.

    I decided to stack up on Honey Bunches cereal tonight and was pleasantly surprised to receive a $3 cat! Details: Between 12/3-12/26

    I purchased the Tyson Chicken Nuggets 29 oz bag at Target for $2.50, so I would price check it if it isn’t marked. Also, I received the $10 catalina and paid $63 OOP, so it must be pre-coupon.
