Safeway Deals 11/10-11/16

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

*Safeway has a new savings program called Just for U. You can read all about Just for U here. This has not rolled out in every city quite yet- but will be soon!

Angela I think it was $2.99 for me too- for some reason this is ringing a bell.

I love your rundowns for Safeway! Unfortunately, I’m in New England w/ Shaw’s and Stop & Shop. Do you happen to know of a similar blog that cover these?

Thanks so much for all you do!

    Hey Charlene,
Are these good prices to stock up on choco chips, flour, brown sugar? This is my 1st year couponing at Thanksgiving. Just wondering you think its a good price now or will it go lower in the next couple of weeks?

  7. Charlene says

    11/10/2010 at 8:17 AM

Sara, for chocolate chips I usually pay $1.50 a bag. That is for the generic bags at Raleys. This is a great price for Ghirardelli but the Nestle are a little cheaper at Walgreens this week. Certainly not worth an extra trip to save .30 but just to let you know 😉

I think this is a good price for sugar too and I will probably buy some. I find that Target has flour for 1.50 most of the time so that is by buy price- for some reason the price is higher at my store right now.

    11/10/2010 at 8:18 AM

Jen- I am pretty sure Common Sense with Money does Shaw’s and Stop and Shop.

Thanks so much! You rule, once again!
    Keep up the good work!

16oz Lucerne Sour Cream is 1.50, use .55 real CA pdf for .95!

My buy price for choc chips is .13/oz. I get Nestle-brand at wholesale clubs (Costco around here) and then stock up when they issue a coupon. It makes it a little easier throughout the year when chips are usually not on sale. The price this week at SW beats my buy price!

I found brown sugar on clearance once for .48 for a 2lb bag and I bought all they had. I haven’t found it as cheap since, so I personally aim for $1 per 2lb bag. Same for powdered sugar.

I wanted to mention that I thought the price for Wesson Oil is awesome with the Thanksgiving booklet – 1.29 ! The lowest I’ve seen recently is 1.99, so I’m stocking up for sure.

The Green Giant coupon in the Thanksgiving booklet is $1/2, just like the $70 of savings booklet (and that coupon exp 11.30).

I have a question about the Free BirdsEye Steamfresh Coupon… the coupon says “FREE Steamfresh Lightly sauced when you buy one Bird Eye SteamFresh.” So, am I understanding you have to get both the regular Bird Eye Steamfresh AND a Lightly sauced in order to get the Lightly sauced free? I had a little trouble with this coupon the other day, so I’m just checking my understanding.
    (I had a 2nd question, but can’t remember now! Errggh. 🙁

There is also a cool whip coupon $1/2 (I think it’s from the $70 Safeway coupon booklet). It expires 11/15. Makes them about 99 cents each if you get 3. My family has to have their cool whip on pumpkin pie!!!

  13. Charlene says

    11/10/2010 at 9:35 AM

Sharon I have to look at the coupon. I wasn’t sure either because the database is not clear either. I will do that as soon as I can.

My safeway has a display of the mission flour tortillas which has a tearpad coupon for .75/1 so .95! This is a stockup price for me.

  15. mandy says

    11/10/2010 at 11:08 PM

Was just thinking, add a doubler to this and they are .19 each!

  16. Sherry says

    11/11/2010 at 9:22 AM

Abigail, last week I bought cool whip at Target. They are .99 each and I used the $1/2 coupon and a .50/2 Target coupon making them .48 for 2.

Any tips on how I can get the Nestle chips coupon to work? It is saying I need your password after I try to print on the link included.

  18. Susan says

    11/12/2010 at 5:28 PM

Yep, me too, Katie. Charlene, it wants your (I assume it’s yours) password. Even when I log in, it wants me to log out and log back in as you.

  19. Charlene says

    11/12/2010 at 5:38 PM

Try entering your email here and if that doesn’t work I don’t know how to get that coupon:
