Paper Deals: Office Max, Office Depot & Staples

There are a few deals you should be able to score on paper starting tomorrow.

The first is at Office Max:

A case (10 reams) of paper is priced at $39.99
You get $20 back in Max Perks Rewards
Plus if your store will accept competitor’s coupons, use the $10/20 Office Depot coupon.
And you will pay $9.99 for 10 reams of paper!!
I would suggest calling your store to confirm they will accept the Office Depot coupon.
*Max Rewards are essentially store credit.  You can register for the Max Perks program here- it is free.

(Thanks Penny Pinchin Mom)

Office Depot has 10 reams of paper on sale as well.  It is priced at $23.99 after instant discount, plus you get 10% back in rewards.  So the math works like this:

Buy 1 case at $23.99
Use $10/20 coupon
Pay $13.99 and I believe you will get $2.40 back in rewards.  So that is also a great deal!

*You can register for Office Depot Rewards here- it is also free!

If you happen to need HP Toner, Office Depot is also offering a free $50 Exxon Mobile Gas Card and a free ream of HP Paper when you buy 2 HP Toners.  This is Sun-Tues only and there is a limit of 2 per household.

If you don’t need a case of paper, you can head into Staples and get a single ream for $5.99.  You can submit for a $4.99 rebate and pay just $1.  There is a limit of 2.

They also have HP Photopaper for $9.99 with an $8.99 rebate back (limit 2).  So here is a deal idea for Staples:

Buy 2 reams of paper at $5.99
Buy 1 ream photo paper at $9.99
Use $10/20 competitor coupon (note: I would call ahead to confirm they will accept it)
Pay $11.97 and get back $18.97 in rebates!

*I have never had a problem using a coupon on a rebate item but I have heard from others who have had them refused. This is an excellent deal though because Stapes rebates are actual checks you can cash at the bank!

I haven’t ever signed up for MaxPerks, but when I click the link, it only gives me the option to sign up for business or teacher rewards. Are those the only 2 options?? Or do I need to sign up in the store?

Kahra It is confusing to me too. I only see those options but apparently they have a loose definition of “business”. I used to always post that you had to be one of the two but I stopped after it seemed like everyone is a member under business. I don’t shop at Office Max so maybe someone else has more info?

I tried the Office Depot paper deal last week or the week before with the insant savings and my store wouldn’t let me do it. They said since it had instant savings I couldn’t use the coupon. Don’t know if it was just my store, but it was really frustrating.

Sorry Cyndi I try to let people know some stores are just meanies and others are not. With any store that is not regularly getting coupons from customers- like Toys R us or these office places- the experience is going to really vary wildly for each person.

I am waiting for the first of the year to buy paper. Last year they had it FREE. I believe I paid 35 or 40 and got it all back. This was at Office Max with MaxPerks. I am assuming they will do this again since they are running it this cheap. It was on boxes with the previous years date.

My Staples won’t let me use an Office Depot or an Office Max coupon because there’s no longer either one of those stores around here. They don’t consider them competitors. Too bad!

Do you all know of an Office Max coupon that is available?
