Old Navy Black Friday Ad

The Old Navy Black Friday ad was released- the highlight this year is the doorbuster which is a free Kinect Dance Central game with any $25 purchase.

I remember there was a great doorbuster last year as well- so if anyone hit Old Navy please let us know what your experience was.  The doors open at midnight on Friday and I don’t see how many are available per store.  It looks like they are doing the same thing- which is a wristband for the first people in line and those people get dibs on the game.

Old Navy will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday and they have select sales for each day.

They also have a $5 off $50 purchase coupon available for Thursday only.  I would also check the Facebook game and see if they offer coupons for the week.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Kid’s jeans $10
  • Adult jeans $15
  • Kid’s and Toddler Frost Free Vests $10 (Saturday Only)
  • Frost Free Jackets for Adults or Kids $15 (Friday Only)
  • Adult Pajama Bottoms or Leggings $5 (Friday Only)

I tried Old Navy last year – they had a video game freebie last year, too.. Lego Rock Band or something I think? but it was available for all 3 systems (wii, ps3, xbox). I went for the cheap winter coats but of course they were very picked-over. My Columbus, Ohio store was a mad house!! I had over an hour wait before even getting IN the store then once you entered the front door, you were immediately in line because the check-out lines were AROUND THE ENTIRE STORE. It really was nuts. And people were horribly rude and awful. I used to love Black Friday shopping but when I got home that day, I almost cried telling my husband about the experience :/ I know Black Friday is about the craziness but I am a happy shopper so the insanity paired with everyone (customers and employees) being grouchy was just a little too much for me.

Also (as long as I give you full credit of course!) do you mind if I would link to some of your Black Friday ad scans from my blog?

Slightly off subject – congrats to you on the shout-out for MFA in the most recent Family Circle magazine. 🙂

I hear about people getting great deals but that is just too much. I refused to get up @ 5am to get black friday deals. I feel even worse for the workers who have to be there. yipe!

I went last year in the late morning, the place was a huge, messy crowded madhouse. Lucky for me I was shopping in the only section not completely trashed- maternity. OldNavy sizing is so inconsistent and you likely won’t get a chance to try anything on, so its probably not worth the hour long line to buy your clothing.

I went to old navy last year and they had some great deals on jeans! the line was crazy long and they only had two registers going, come to find out they had the same deals about two weeks later! Also the video game they only gave out to the 1st 25 people in line. I got there about an hour and a half early and was about 50th in line so people def will get there early! I called to ask the store about the thanksgiving deals and it seems like they are saving most of the stuff for friday, just making it seem like thursday is just as good I wouldnt go. good luck to all that are going out for black friday!

I hit Old Navy every year, usually first. They open at Midnight in the Tanger Outlet here in Utah, so we get there about 9:00 Thanksgiving night, and we’re usually within the first 20 people. I’ve gotten the freebie every year for the past 5 years or so. They’re really cool, too – they give wristbands for the free item, then we just go sit back in our car until the line really starts to get big. This year I’ll be using my $50 gift card from Tanger’s Facebook promotion! It sucks I have to redeem the voucher before the 24th (it’s an hour drive both ways), but I think it’s worth it in the end. Old Navy usually has some great deals!

last year and the year before at the old navy in medford, Oregon, we waited in line for an hour and a half, when we got to the front of the line there was no more gifts, and there were a lot of angry people. i have a friend that works there, she said they only got ten, yes ten, games! Not worth it to me to go anymore, Jill is right, people are rude and grumpy!!!

I’ve never paid too much attention to Old Navy’s black friday deals since the nearest one is 45 minutes away (I prefer sleep) 🙂 So I’m curious, does any one know from past experience if there is any chance some of the deals will be online (such as the jeans)?

Also very curious about the jeans being $10 online.

They had awesome deals online for Black Friday last year. I hope they do the same this time. I would assume that the deals are not identical to what’s in store, but I would definitely check it out. Not sure about what the price of the jeans will be this year online.
