Here are a few Groupons available today. In case you aren’t a viewer of the Oprah Show, apparently she mentioned Groupon today in conjunction with the super hot Nordstrom Rack deal they have running. The site was down for a few hours but seems to be on again and off again. I would probably expect more problems with the site around 4pm PST when Oprah airs on the West Coast.
These deals are available for anyone, in any city to purchase.
If you are new to Groupon, you will want to register first and then click below to buy your voucher.
NORDSTROM RACK: I mentioned this last night but you can get a $50 voucher to Nordstrom Rack for $25. This was on the Oprah Show so I would not wait to buy as they may sell out. This is available for anyone to purchase in any city and it can be used inside any Nordstrom Rack store.
Here are just a few cities to try:
VINO DE MILO: I think this is kind of fun. You get a gourmet sampler package with free shipping. The package includes:
Portobello Shiraz Pasta Sauce (25 oz. Jar), Roasted Garlic Chianti Pasta Sauce (25 oz. Jar), Creamy Light French Salad Dressing, Balsamic & Olive Oil Salad Dressing, Artichoke Garlic Bruschetta, Black Olive & Currant Bruschetta and Spicy Sun-dried Bruschetta.
The price is $29 total for the sampler- including shipping- and it might be a fun gift for that person that already has everything. You can have a look here (Columbus)- it is just off to the right.
KIVA: This is an awesome deal as well. And this would even be a wonderful gift idea. You can donate $25 to Kiva for $15. This is a non profit organization that does some pretty incredible stuff around the world. Groupon and supporting sponsors are pitching in $500,000 to this cause- which is why the donations are discounted.
You can read about it here (Columbus)- just look to the right.
BLURB: I heard some raves about this photobook company and they still have $60 vouchers for $20. Shipping is not included. Click here to get this offer– just look to the right (Fresno.)

The Blurb deal is really tiny under the American Apparel Groupon and there’s no photo. It took me a minute to find it!
If you have a Discover card you can get 20% cash back on Groupon purchases by going through the “Shop Discover” link on Discover’s website.
I think the Norstrom groupons have sold out. I’ve been trying to buy one all day with no luck. Is anyone else having good luck with a different city?
Sarah they are available. I think you just have to be patient. I clicked on Chicago from the post and Raleigh. Then I waited maybe 2-3 minutes. The site loaded and then I clicked on the green view it button next to the deal. Pulled it right up.
I would recommend logging into your account when it first pulls up just to make that process faster. Logging in took me another 2 minutes or so 🙂
Oprah is airing in the midwest right now so it is her fault 😉 You can also try Philly.
Yay…I bought one. Every city I tried took me to the American Apparel groupon first. If you look to the right, there is a small window for the Nordstrom deal. I clicked on that and I was able to buy one. Do you know if you can buy more than 1 Nordstrom groupon if it’s from different cities?
Sarah my official word is that it says one per person. In the past, however, you could buy one per city from Groupon. With the number of them sold I would think it was OK but I am not going to recommend people do that 😉
I’m sure the number of Nordstrom groupons sold is directly related to the Oprah mention. I tried purchasing from multiple cities. It would not allow me to do this in California, but I seem to have been able to pick one up in CA, and one up in St. Louis. The CA deal seems linked to a specific city (although you can use it anywhere), whereas the St. Louis one is not linked to a particular city.
From reading comments on past deals, some groupons are one per city, some are one total. For instance, the soap.com groupon is one total, no matter when or when. The movie tickets (before that groupon went under) were x # per city, each instance, so you could get 4 today, then 4 next week, etc.
I guess what I am saying is that even though it says one per customer, until CS pops up and states specifically if it is one per customer/city or simply one/customer, we just really don’t know.
Groupon does have a history of cancelling excess purchases if they determine if it violates the intent of the groupon. I have heard some people say they purchase one for themselves, then one as a gift, on a groupon that states one/person, only to find the second one cancelled. But this doesn’t always happen.
Lori- are you suggesting the mad influx of traffic was not directly related to my post? I thought MFA was responsible for it although maybe Oprah sent a few over too. 😀
