There are a few Groupon deals worth mentioning today:
::Sebastian Flat Iron$50 with free shipping– a $100 value from Beautychoice.com. I have a Paul Mitchell flat iron that was stupid expensive and I can say that a really good flat iron is a great investment. Head over here to check this one out (LA).
::$100 of photobooks and calendars from Picaboo for $35. You can try to use promo codes with this offer- it has worked for some and not for others. The worst case is that you should be able to get (2) large, hardcover books shipped for $35 which is still a great deal. Head over here to get this deal (Kansas City).
::Canvas on Demand- get a 16×20 canvas for $45– a $126 value. This includes tax and shipping. Just head over here to get this deal (Nashville).
::$25 for a $75 voucher to Barclay’s wine. This is not available to all states and shipping is not included. You might find a deal on some wine for holiday dinners though! Just head over here to get this deal (Akron).– Thanks Alexandra!
*If you are new to Groupon just register first and then you can buy your deal. You need to log back into your account after 24 hours and click on My Groupons and you should see a voucher available that you can redeem. Just click to print the voucher and it will have complete instructions listed right on it!

Is there a way to get an email about the types of stores you want Groupons for or anything? I know you can get daily emails from specific cities, but it would be really helpful to be able to get emails about specific types of deal: clothing stores, restaurants, toys, etc.
But I do very much appreciate your sharing the Groupon deals you do post for us..makes it a bit easier…thank you! (thought I should throw that in there so as to not sound too ungrateful!)
Susan, I don’t know of anything like that. I have talked to Groupon about a list of deals per city and we are working on getting that. I don’t want overkill on Groupon but then again there are just so many deals. We bought King’s tickets for a steal recently and then there was a Whole Foods one recently too. So I might just do a list of deals by city soon. As far as doing it by category I don’t know how that would work because why sift through clothing stores for Memphis when you live in Philly. Does that make sense?
I was not able to find the Groupon deal for Picaboo. The link brought me to the Kansas City page, but Picaboo was not listed there, or on their “recent deals” page. Help please 🙂
Andrea this was posted yesterday. Groupon deals typically last one day- so this one ended last night at midnight. During the holiday season you might consider checking in to MFA more frequently as there will be many, many deals that only last a few hours or a day.
I can’t find the Sebastian Flat Iron$50 with free shipping Groupon. Today I received the MFA email, but I’m not sure if it was today’s deal or yesterdays?
Robin, I added a date to each post so that you can easily identify when they are from. The newsletters go out at noon PST so I am usually not even halfway through my inbox when they go out. I typically post many, many more deals after and during the holidays especially most of them will be very time sensitive. You might check in more frequently for a few weeks if at all possible. The Sebastian one is gone now.
I found the Picaboo deal on Groupon under Chatanooga. Got the deal, and it’s available for 4 more hours.
