If you purchase a $25 gift card for CVS online, they will send you a bonus $5 gift card.

They do this every year and you can purchase the $25 card for yourself.

They will email you the gift cards and you can actually print them out.

For every $25 worth of e-Gift Cards purchased, you will Get a $5 eGift Card
Buy 1 $50 e-Gift Card – GET 1 $10 e-Gift Card
Buy 1 $100 e-Gift Card – GET 1 $20 e-Gift Card
Buy 1 $125 e-Gift Card – GET 1 $25 e-Gift Card
Buy 1 $150 e-Gift Card – GET 1 $30 e-Gift Card

I am not sure if the $25 has to be spent in one pop.  Maybe some of you that have used these in the past have more insights for us.

I did this last year and it worked out fine. You can spend the gift cards as slowly as you want. The only two littles issues that came up:

    1. Many times, the cashier had never seen that kind of gift card and so they didn’t know how to use it. Even though there were instructions for the cashier printed right on the card, sometimes they would call a manager.)

    2. Because it’s just printed on paper, it becomes pretty tattered by the time you use it several times. Maybe best to get several in smaller denominations than to get one $150 gc if that is your intention. Otherwise, print on heavy paper maybe.

I found it helpful to tell the cashier that they needed to push the ‘pay with giftcard button’ before scanning the bar code on the print out of the gift card. It goes through with no problem. I am the only on at my store – so they tell me – that uses these. But I love them. They are such a great deal. I would highly recommend them.

I’ve heard of people laminating them so they don’t get tattered, but I’ve personally never had a problem with them getting tattered. I just keep the print out with all my ECBs and my coupons from the coupon center!

I bought a $25 CVS e-gift card yesterday, but didn’t get an extra $5 card. A link to the $25 card was emailed to me, but nothing else. Where did you see the graphic you show that says you get the $5 extra? I would like to see exactly what it says there to figure out how to get the $5 extra.

Thanks so much for you help AND for doing such a GREAT website. It has really, really helped me to save lots!

    Mary

Mary – I was told on the phone that Monday was the last day of the promo, which means you probably won’t get the extra $5 if you just bought the ecard.
