You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right HERE. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

Any great deals I missed this week?
Jenn says
I know Safeway doesn’t allow a coupon on the free item in a B1G1, but since they both ring up at half price, couldn’t you check each out separately and use two coupons that way?
Charlene says
Jenn, I have not found the items to ring up half price but if that is the case at your store that is awesome! I thought Publix was the only store that did that so lucky you!
Tony H says
There are $1.00/1 Pepperidge Farm Cookies at: http://www.pepperidgefarm.com
Annye says
Don’t feel snubbed by the omission of a Double Coupon in your ad, Charlene; we didn’t get them up here in Oregon, either. I just hope it doesn’t become a habit….
Christina F. says
I’ve been waiting for How to train your dragon to come out on DVD. (my boys love this movie)Now waiting to see what the best deal is.
Amy says
Charlene – I can’t seem to find the General Mills Banana Nut cereal coupon on the coupon site as well as on cellfire. Is there a particular zip code to get them?
Charlene says
Amy I see it with no zip code. You want to look for one that says Save .75 on Big G cereal and it shows 4 different boxes of Cheerios on it including the Banana Nut.
Katie says
Charlene, I have a question. I saw on another site that another region is having a buy 4 save $4 on BC fruit snacks, NV bars, cereal, etc. I get the Norcal ad as well. Do you know if we’ll be seeing that sale before the Catalinas are expired? I didn’t even get the $1.66 fruit snacks a few weeks back!
Thanks for the great match-ups!!
Also, those Totinos pizzas had $1/2 BC fruit snacks coupons on the backs!
Charlene says
Katie which site and I will go look for the details. I don’t usually have access to the details of the ad before Tuesdays so I don’t know what the new sales are coming.
BUT I am extremely delighted to say I just got invited to a lunch at Safeway headquarters! I think they are rolling out the Just for You program. I am going to try and arm wrestle someone into giving me the ads early. I would like to see the fruit snacks as well. I like those for backup Halloween treats. They are usually cheaper than candy.
Katie says
Ok, wow! I just looked to find the blog and it hasn’t been updated since mid-august, so I was looking at a REALLY old post. Sorry about that! It was late last night when I was blog/site hopping and waiting for laundry to be done. lol.
Good luck with the arm-wrestling!! Hope you have fun!
Amy says
I just got back from Safeway to check the Quantumatic deal and none of the employees know if it spits out a Catalina. I did get this weekend’s supplemental ad (Oct 17-19) and they have some good deals and coupons.
Charlene says
Oh Amy I need to update but I did it myself and it worked tonight.
Amy says
Great. I’ll have to go back tomorrow for it. Thanks!
mary says
Just an FYI, the Del Monte fruit cups have $1 peelie coupons for the Del Monte Smoothies and the smoothies are still on sale.
mary says
Whoops! Forget to write the sale price… for $1
Allison says
Went to Safeway last night and scored big on TP!! The $4.99 with in-ad coupon cottenelle had $2.00 coupons right on the shelf, PLUS a $2.00 OYNO when u buy 2! =$3.98/24 rolls of cottenelle TP! WoW! Definately was excited! Does anyone know if the limits for the in-ad coupons are per day or for the duration of the sale?
Charlene says
Allison I think the in ad are for each transaction.
Allison says
awesome! thanks, charlene!
Heather says
I went in today to get the Cheerios that were on sale for 1.88 and then use $.75 coupon from the internet stacked with another $.75 off coupon from Cellfire. Well, the Cellfire coupon came off first and the the register would not accept the printed coupon. The checker did an override for me, but it seems like maybe their computers are able to detect when a manufacturers coupon is being stacked now and not acceptng them both. I hope it is not true, but just wanted to let you know about my experience today ๐
Charlene says
Ok thanks Heather. I was sensing the end of the stacking coming and this makes me think it is here. I know my Pillsbury ones didn’t come off this last weekend. Safeway is rolling out the Just for You program and they only have it in 2 markets right now. I am supposed to go and meet with them in 2 weeks to learn more so for now I am just keeping things status quo. We will see what happens ๐
Leah says
Just got back from Safeway and the Finish deal worked great. Also got some Simply Juice for $1.50 after $1 coupon and Quaker instant oatmeal for $.50 after $2 coupon that was posted the other day. Also thought I’d share that there are lots of Glade e-coupons on the Safeway website. I had lots on my card from the last two months which ended up in some profit when buying a sense and spray and two scented oil refills. The sense and spray were $6.99 and there were 2 e-coupons on my card for $3 each and I used a $3 coupon for $2 profit. Also the oil refills were $2.49 each and I used a $1.50/2 coupon and had 3 $1.50/2 e-coupons come off (only was expecting 2) for a profit of $1. Might want to check out all of the great Safeway e-coupons if you like Glade!
Nicole says
I wonder if a way to work around the e coupons not coming is to have them take your paper coupons off first, then enter your club card at the very end?
Kat says
We found some $1.25/2 Pillsbury Refrigerated Cookies blinkies today. It worked great with our e-coupons!
I think Safeway is starting to crack down on coupon use – the SCO machine we used today actually x-ed off the ecoupons we had when we scanned the Safeway coupons! The amounts came off fine when we used MQs, but the SQs had to be manually imputted, then our EQs had to be reapplied! >_<
Kat says
Simply Orange Juice (all varieties, including Orange Mango and Orange Pineapple) are 2 for $5. We paired it with two $1 coupons, and we had 2 $1 EQs come off! Ended up being $1 for two orange juices!
Chitra says
Charlene,
My store manager told me that I could not use a MQ if I had an eQ. Since the MQ normally have a better value, unless you get multiple eQs on one item, then it would just not pay to load the eQs anymore. Can you check on this when you go to the meet at SW HQ? Thanks.
Azumaya Tofu is on sale at 1$ in Southern CA and there is a 1$ off MQ making them free. Honey Nut Cheerios are on sale for 1.49 at my store.
Chex mix 8.75 oz is B1G1F at 3.59 and there are a few eQs and MQs. There is also a B4 get4 off sale on Bertolli , PF Changs, Klondike, lipton tea and a few other items. The Bertolli pasta sauce is 1.49 each WYB 4. This was not in my ad, but just advertised in the store.
Charlene says
Yeah Chitra it seems to be the end of the stacking era. I think it is worth loading them because they are doing the $500 giveaway. There aren’t that many people that coupon so I think the chances are decent to win and each coupon you load is an entry ๐
Where did you find the tofu coupon? I looked and couldn’t find one.
Chitra says
Charlene,
It is in the 9/12 SS – almost at the end of the paper. They also have 1$ off on the noodles or wraps for the eggroll, but those seem to be more expensive at the store.
Nikki Eddy says
my pillsbury E coupon came off as well as my MFG coupon and I got a $3 Catalina (last week’s sale) resulting in a profit. I hope it’s not the end of stacking E coupons, that glade scenario sounds nice. I just started couponing since July. Such a bummer! Kroger’s already gotten rid of it and that is why I have shifted to Safeway. bummer!
Lori says
Curious – I was just trying to load from Shortcuts, and it said my coupon limit was reached. Told me to go use some coupons before loading more. I had never seen that message before…. Had I known, I would have been more picky about which coupons I load! I just always loaded all of them, just because they were available, and you never know…
Charlene says
I don’t know Lori. I just saw it too- never saw that before and I usually add them all as well.
Courtney says
just an FYI *** Found some great tear pads at Savemart for $1 off baked Lays and $0.55 off any ONE Pop Tart – used them at Safeway for regular lays (no beeps) = $0.79 per bag, and the Pop-Tarts in Ad coupon deal ending tomorrow = $1.33/12 pk. Obviously I had to go to the next town over to get the best service from Safeway… but it was worth it!
Saw a great $1.50 off One Nabisco Chips Ahoy with Heath or candy tear pad as well.
Found a $2 off Tropicana Juice when you buy Two Quaker Oatmeal.
