I did the candy deal using a bunch of B1G1 mars candy bar coupons and the $4/6 trident 3 packs. The UP didn’t print, but Rite Aid is going to mail it to me. 35 bars (snickers and twix) and then 6 packs of trident white, $1 money maker after coupons and $4/20 (I heard the $5/25 were deactivated.)

Do you know if this deal is unlimited?

Sierra I think you can go back but I have to issue a warning that apparently RA is getting tough on spending $25 after all coupons for deals like this. If you decide to do it again I would go in sooner rather than later 🙂

Yes, my $5 off $25 coupon didn’t work today. The cashier knows me and pushed it through. I was wondering if the coupon was deactivated or if it’s not $25 AFTER coupons (although they hadn’t put in my other coupons yet). I did receive Ups rewards on both packs of Huggies in one transaction. I’m wondering if the Ups rewards are unlimited now??? I received 2 rewards on my NYC products too.

Thank you for sharing this scenario! I went tonight and did something similar, but messed it up a little (I added wrong and bought too much candy). I got 3 bags of Swedish Fish, 3 bags of Sour Patch Kids, 2 bags of Reese’s, 1 bag of Nestle Crunch, 1 bag of Butterfingers, 1 8-pk of Twix, 3 single Milky Way bars, 2 king-size Twix and 1 Dove promises. Total before coupons- $29.03, used 5.00/25 (from Red Plum), and a lot of other coupons, total came to $12.03, paid with $8 in Up rewards, $4.03 out of pocket and got back $10 in Up rewards. If I had added correctly, it would have been .42 after paying with the $8 in Up rewards. Still a sweet deal at $4.03 for all that.

Does anyone know where the BOGO Swedish Fish coupon came from? Thanks!

My candy haul involved the full-size Whitman Samplers.

Rite Aid has them on sale for $4,99, which in our area is half of their usual $9.99 price (regardless of what the ad states). There wasn’t a sign advertising it, but all of the varieties — sugar-free, all milk chocolate, all dark chocolate, et cetera — are ringing up at the sale price.

I bought five Samplers plus an eight-pack of Reese’s for $1 to bump me over the required $25 mark. I used a $5/$25 coupon (which beeped but the cashier smiled, said, “These haven’t been working lately,” and pushed it through) and got a $10 UP Reward, which made my final cost only $2 per box! (Okay, $2.20 if I hadn’t already planned to buy the eight-pack for $1.)

I normally make holiday treats for our neighbors and folks like our postal workers and hair stylist, but this year, it’s Whitman Samplers for everyone!

I did this transaction a total of four times, so yes, it looks as if we can earn multiple $10 UP Rewards. I even used a $10 UP from one transaction to pay for another and earned a new $10 UP, so unlike some stores (ahem, Walgreens), these rewards will roll.

    Happy candy shopping!

Bridget- it was a smartsource.com coupon from a while back. I’m not sure if it’s available anymore. I printed my max already, so I wouldn’t be able to see it even if it was still up.

    Thanks Hannah! 🙂

Bridget – The coupon isn’t available anymore. I checked last Saturday because I was going to try and print a second (I only printed one when I first saw it because I didn’t think I’d need two, silly me!). It was expiring soon, so I think it was available about 3 weeks ago.

For those wondering about the $5/$25 coupon, I asked my Rite Aid store manager. They said they haven’t worked at all since they were released. Most stores are just pushing them through….but let’s just hope they don’t turn around and decide to stop taking them for some reason. 🙁

Annette – I think Rite Aid learned that too many people didn’t like the limit on the number of Up Rewards they were limited too….and I think they were also still testing the program out to see how successful it was going to be. I noticed in the last week that most Up Rewards don’t have a limit on them now.

So today I used another $5 off $25 and it actually went through. The last several I’ve used have been pushed through by the clerk…but not today. Also they mentioned that the only Up Rewards not rolling is the Pepsi one…but all others seem to be rolling. I hope they keep it that way!!!! Now if only I could find the Nivea lotion in stock at a RA location…that would make me happy!!! LOL
