Michael’s 50% off Coupon

Did anyone happen to watch Oprah today?  Well I did and Martha was on showcasing some of her products at Michael’s.  They are also offering a 50% off coupon for Martha craft items at Michael’s stores through October 16th.

I love her stuff- even though my craft projects tend to turn into a hot mess.  I might get some glitter with this coupon for holiday decorations- because hers is really gorgeous.

Anyhoo, you can print the Michael’s coupon here– it is only available for a day so grab it now.  It says it overrides any current offers- so I assume that means 50% off the regular price.

For those of you that are crafty- are there any fun projects you can recommend?

ok so crafts is my thing and i used so much of martha’s glitter last christmas. my favorite was buying large balls (usually at walmart) (so happy i bought tons at end of christmas for 75 % off) and using a paint dobber – they sell these at michaels. to put nickle size polka dots on the ball.( do this with paint not glue as glue runs ) before the paint dries shake on glitter. cutest balls ever . a little harder is putting a initial on the ball along with the dots. started off making them for fun but some friends saw them and i ended up selling tons also. the super fine glitter likes martha goes a LONG way.

We used this candle decorating technique last year for Christmas gifts… our 5 yo drew a picture and wrote “I love you (name)” for his relatives, we scanned it into the computer, added a gingerbread man border and printed it out onto tissue paper. The trickiest part was the printing… otherwise it’s a really easy craft and the finished candles look incredible.

I think some decoupage would make the cupcake platter even better!

We made some cute centerpieces last year that were really fun and inexpensive , in fact you can actually get everything from the .99 cent store. Get a long candle stick (we used red for christmas) and glue 4 candy canes upside down to hold up the candle and then tie a pretty ribbon around and tie in a bow . They turned out soo pretty.
